Sura serves Korean food so good I literally forgot the names of the dishes—I was too busy devouring them and ate the food before ever learning the name of the meals.nnEdit: my boyfriend informed me I inhaled the japchae noodles. The other two dishes are Bossam and Golbi.nnVibrant vibe, unique seating, melt-in-your-mouth meats, and dipping sauces that hit every note. Huge portions perfect for three hungry adults. Service was a bit slow the place was packed, but honestly, that just proves how amazing the food is. If you are in downtown Vancouver, this is a must try Korean hot spot.
Vancouver trip August 2025nMy daughter brought me here as both of us love Korean food. We waited for 30 minutes, not bad on a Saturday night, especially on a long weekend. Food was good, definitely authentic Korean cuisine. Service was good and it didn’t take long for the food to be served. Give it a try, worth the wait
There are quite a few Korean restaurants around Robson and Denman, and Sura is one of the most well-known. I went back recently for their lunch set after having dinner there a while ago. The service was very good, and the lunch set is reasonably priced with a nice variety, great for two people to share. Personally, I find the food not quite as strong compared to some other Korean spots nearby, but with the price and service, it’s still worth a try.
Came here in the summer for thejr cold noodes and it was great.nRecently went for their gamja tang spicy pork bone broth soup which really hit the spot on a cold fall day. Portions are ample. Side dishes are refillable. Their bossam is not bad wish the pork was a lil fattier. Andi surprisingly really liked the quality of their hot rice tea!nMy friend got the galbi tang and that was excellent too
