Came for lunch on Thursday, July 3rd just before noon.nNot crowded, no line, but by 12:30 it filled up and there were people waiting for a table.nnGot the lunch special. Food came out super fast and was good and plentiful.nnMe and my partner got quite full.nnThe only real spicy dishes was the squid salad and the side that came with the pork belly.nEverything else I would not call spicy, except maybe the kimchi.nThe spicy pork and kimchi pancake were both easy to eat. My partner has almost zero spice tolerance and ate both with ease.nnDidn't care for the mung bean jelly thing, but everything else was solid.nnFavorites were the japchae, sweet and sour pork, and the spicy sliced pork.nnWater was refilled frequently despite the full restaurant.nnLoved it and would recommend to others!
Always busy but worth the wait! I’ve been here on several occasions and the food is delicious. It’s not cheap but I find the portions fairly generous and the quality excellent. I eat here almost every time I visit Vancouver and is the perfect place to go with a group though make a reservation or be prepared to wait to try many dishes.nnFor me, the standouts are the seafood pancake eat it while it’s hot & one of the side dishes. The galbi is also amazing.
Arrived in Vancouver after a long overseas flight, so was just looking for a place to get a quick meal. We didn't have a booking, but got a table straight away and service was very prompt and friendly. Food was delicious and the menu choices great. Nice calm and welcoming atmosphere.
This restaurant has been operating for many years—since I was a student—and I finally got to come back and try it again after 9 years. Everything was pretty much the same. We had the lunch set menu, which was satisfying, although some dishes seemed to have been pre-prepared, as they arrived cold such as the pancake and pork belly. Our server was nice, but one thing that could be improved is the food runner. Since we ordered the lunch set, which includes many dishes, they should have prepared the table or made space for the food instead of waiting for us to rearrange things ourselves.
Delicious Korean food in the heart of downtown. Went to catch up with a friend, and it was perfect for a long talk, not to mention good food. The staff were always on hand to help you and refill your tea cup, and of course the delicious side dishes were refillable at any time.
