The most challenging part of Kook is getting a table :. Once you’re in, the restaurant has been consistently solid over the years. The food prices are very reasonable for today’s standards and drinks are also affordable priced. Great service and plenty of banchan variety makes this one of the most pleasant Korean bbq options in town. Parking in the complex can be a bit stress inducing with the T&T traffic, but thankfully there’s also ample street parking nearby.
We ate here a few times by and brought most of our friends here one time or another so that we can try more BBQ items. The execution of the Seafood Pancake is very good and always crispy. The service is not consistent, sometimes the wait staff is nice and sometimes not. The ventilation for individual tables are excellent though and we don't come out smelling like we've worked in the kitchen.
Absolutely amazing experience.nThe food was unbelievable, every single dish was packed with flavor. Honestly one of the best Korean BBQ spots I’ve tried.nnMatthew was our server and he was the best. Super attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better.nnI genuinely want to come back every week.
Solid Korean BBQ. A highlight is their refillable 15 side dishes which gives some nice variety of flavour and veggies to go with the Korean bbq meats. The meat quality was great. Comes with dipping sauces for the meats. Would recommend the dinner sets which give you a bit of everything. The beef dumplings were tasty and the japchae noodles had perfect chewy texture. The soy bean tofu soup had lots of tofu, veggies, and meat making it very hearty. A nice touch was the complimentary sweet cinnamon tea at the end. Great place to bring guests and family for a Korean feast and bbq meat experience. The service was great but the tables could be bigger as they were a bit cramped.
I l enjoyed Kook so much on my recent visit I came back with a different group two weeks later. Great spot especially for four to six people, we ordered the set combo both times and it was a perfect amount of food. Shoutout to Heyman and all the attentive staff for taking great care of us. We’ll be back soon!
