Story

Welcome to Supermarket, a vibrant restaurant and bar located in the heart of Kensington Market since 2004 at 268 Augusta Avenue. Supermarket Restaurant and Bar has continued to be a great place for friends to meet and get together for dining, drinks and great entertainment! The MENU is “market fresh” and perfect for dining alone or sharing tapas style with larger parties.

The entertainment programming at Supermarket is eclectic. During the week, as the dining hours finish, all kinds of other events such as indie bands, comedy, book launches, open mics, songwriter evenings, dj dance parties, fundraisers, and much more take place in the Supermarket “back room”!

Great place to go dancing on a Friday /Saturday night after 10:30pm!! The DJs are awesome, able to read the crowd and play a mix that has everyone pumped :
Small bar with live music, great atmosphere
In Kensington Market, Supermarket is a bar with a small kitchen and a large events room at the back of the place. The back room has a great stage and I enjoyed both the restaurant and the event. It is not accessible and the washroom is quite small. This is troublesome.
Super-friendly staff, good atmosphere, great vibe. A place to relax, learn and have lots of fun.
Supermarket is always a good time. Relaxed seating area by the bar is a good hideout from the often clammy dance floor. The music is awesome, no song will kill the buzz or high energy moments; you will never be bored. The area is a great change of scenery from the typical Entertainment district.
Good venue, hot chicken was good, however portions were smaller than 5 points, the other Nashville hot chicken place. Can't speak of Chica's as I have not been there.
Cool place. Spacious. Decent beer. Concerts in the back. Can't want for more.
