I first visited last winter and had a good time, but I'm so glad I came back recently when the weather was warm enough to enjoy the patio. I had such an amazing meal; there were so many things to rave about. First off, the ambience. Nestled in the eclectic Kensington Market, I knew I was bound to see a quirky place, but I was blown away by the ambience - it was hygge come to life. My favourite spots to sit were by the window as you enter, by the fireplace, and outside, where you could enjoy the novelty of the camper they have on-site. Next, the food. It's absolutely out of this world. When we went, the menu was very short and handwritten we were told the menu was being reworked but every item we ordered was seasoned to perfection and tasted the way the ambience made us feel. I could not rave enough about the chili - would 100% come back for it alone. Their rendition of the French onion soup is also delicious - much thinner than the original, but still so hearty. The shrimp tacos were great, too. The only thing I would change is the speed of service. We ended up waiting quite a while to both be served and to receive our orders. That said, the experience was still present, and we have definitely found a new favourite place.
Very cozy and quirky cute bar. The decor is meant to resemble the interior of the house, as aptly named. Drinks are reasonable price, $9-12 for cocktails, ~6 for beers. A reasonable selection of snacks to pair with your drinks. I came here on a Friday night and had zero issues finding a table.
Went here with a large group to celebrate our friend's birthday. Hidden gem with a fun back patio that includes a cozy caravan! Great drinks and ambiance. Would definitely go back.
Very classic place, good for group party. Service is good and food is yummy. Patio is very relaxing.
Exactly the kind of hidden away experience that makes you remember that paying $14 a cocktail down the street is a waste of money. You get character here and different drink list.
Exquisite place. Perfect food. Attentive staff. I will be back for more
This place is the best place in Toronto. Hidden gem with lovely staff and unique atmosphere
Wonderful spot! I have never loved a bar more. The drinks are excellent, the food is delicious, and the space is warm and inviting. And all of that is the direct result of a lot of love and hard work by the owners and staff, who are not only a delight to spend an evening with, but who also go above and beyond to make sure that their patrons are happy and safe. Many thanks to Bruce, Kate and the whole team for always making every visit a positive experience.
A hidden Toronto gem. Beautiful, comfortable, and intimate interior that is the perfect setting for relaxed conversation. You can tell a lot of love and attention to detail went into the space, from the furnishing to the artwork and to the music. The service is excellent and unpretentious; warm and friendly. Cocktails and wine list is great even satisfying a very particular wine fiend in the group. Been back twice, and can't wait to try their rotating menu on my next visit!
Cute funky place to grab cocktails and some eats with friends. Service was great. The interior is very eclectic and funky as is the back patio with a hidden gem I'm not giving it away on here!. Food was good, we enjoyed dumplings and mac & cheese, wine and beer was flowing. Can pay cash or credit.
