I don’t usually leave reviews but I wanted to on this occasion because I almost didn’t go for this experience because of the bad reviews… I am so glad we ignored them and went anyway because our family of 4 had a fantastic time and will remember this experience for years! I emailed and called the company a few times before we booked and each time their replies were polite and helpful. Our actual experience was a new one so I was scared about what to expect. Yes, the dogs do get pretty loud at the base before we set off, they bark at each other and sometimes get aggressive with each other too especially the siblings. It felt noisy and chaotic initially but it’s because there are literally a hundred dogs in one place. And at the end of the day… they’re animals! I’ve seen domestic dogs in our neighborhood start to howl and bark when they get over stimulated or excited, so of course they’re going to make some noise if they’re on a leash and waiting to get out there. The minute the sledding started the dogs were no longer barking and loved being on the move! Our guide was informative and kind and had a lovely relationship with all the dogs. At the end we were offered hot chocolate and my kids got to see the puppies and I got to see just how much the employees love these dogs! I am so glad we researched and chose this place to go to. Thank You Ron and the rest of the team!
If can afford dog sledding This is a nice place, the kids loved it. They take precautions and the dogs are not forced to go fast. Dress in layers we are in Canada. We had 5 dogs pulling my 12 yr old boy and I, the guide was always attentive of the group.
We tried dog sleigh there. Gabriel was pilot of four riders and I rode the sleigh Yes , you have to ride your sleigh, it seems scary at first but they will train you and the route is completely safe. A unique experience in Quebec.
Extremely unprofessional and disorganized. I had a reservation, and not only did they get that mixed up and think it was the wrong day and also called me to cancel it at 6 AM, they then cancelled my actual reservation and told me "it was no longer available" because they've accepted a large party for the same day and time slot, and now I have to find another option at the last minute a week before my trip. Their response was "can you just come another day" and I live in the US and explicitly told them that, and the dates I would be there. Terrible experience, terrible customer service and they are not even concerned about it, spend your money elsewhere!
Giving 2 stars because I was very rudely spoken to and hung up on while trying to book a time for the dog sledding. After trying to find a suitable time to book, the person on the phone rudely exclaimed something I didn’t understand and hung up on me, mid conversation. It’s very disappointing because I was looking forward to this experience but after the customer service team refused to speak with me and hung up without warning, I won’t be coming here anymore.
It breaks my heart the dogs was freezing and crying. I totally Can tell when a dog is crying or barking. They were shaking. I hope animal association do something. I will never be part of this activity again.
Enjoyed the ride! Was a new experience, people are nice! Recommend this place
Here’s a thing you need to do! Wear a zillion layers and go dogsledding with Inukshuk! You will need some patience and layers. Participants only - there’s no place to watch - but these dogs know where to go and everything is safe enough. English is spoken.
Amazing experience. We were there January 2020 and our guide Gabriel was really a great help. We all enjoyed the dog sled, the scenery and overall, the experience. Best customer service, and indeed, great adventure!
I had a great time last week! Thanks Pierre for being an amazing guide!
