The Super 8 of Park Rapids welcomes you to the Loon Capital of the USA. This area offers many different recreational opportunities for the every day traveler as well as the avid sportsmen. The Mississippi River begins its flow just 20 miles away in the Itasca State Park. You are able to stand at the start of the flow that takes these waters for some 2,550 miles down to the Gulf of Mexico. This area has activities for any season. Whether it be spring, summer, fall or winter you will find something different to do or see. After a long day of traveling, on the waters, skiing, fishing, or hunting, we invite you to stay in your home away from home. Got our room and when we went to enter someone already there. Then they put use way in the back and the door did not lock as once you left the room you got locked out. Then the TV did not work so we had to wait for some to fix. This place used to be a nice place to stay. Not anymore!

Room had bloody saliva on the walls. Breakfast was boring. Bed was comfortable, jetted tub was cool. Room was very spacious. Owners were nice and helpful.

No hi how are you, no greeting at all. Booked a king, we get there and he tries giving us two full size beds because their queens are never queens. He gave us a king after I showed him the reservation on our phone. Room was what you pay for and nothing better. Breakfast is next to nil, nothing to brag about. No one was ever at the front desk. Had to stay for work but will probably avoid if we come back through.

I should have known something was up as soon as I noticed the kid at the front desk was high, after waiting for him to make his way to the front desk. Between the three rooms our family had reserved, there were beer cans in the bathroom of one, bloody tissues in another, and hairy bed linens in another. I have never been so disgusted with a motel in my life, we cancelled our reservations shortly after checking in.

Our bathroom was not clean, the pictures on the walls above the bed were falling off. The breakfast was awful. They were out of drinks the entire week and the batter for the waffles were separated and water and disgusting. Also service was awful we asked for towels 8 times before we got them.
