Balsam Beach Resort & RV Park

My husband and I grew up loving the outdoors. We both had demanding careers that didn't allow for much down time. After we decided that I needed to slow down and start enjoying life, and to share our love of camping with our family, we got a starter camper. We have stayed at other resorts (renting cabins here), but none have come close to Balsam Beach. Clint and Patty along with their fur babies Lucy and Emma, go above and beyond to ensure their guests are comfortable. My health issues and current ongoing treatments at Mayo Clinic have been a huge obstacle to family getaways. Not only was this a great resort, the harmony and peaceful feeling We got watching the lake at night and talking around the fire generated more healing than any medication could ever provide. If you want a quiet yet active resort to stay at, I assure you that you won't regret choosing Balsam Beach Resort. There is a lot to do and a great place to bring your kids.

Beautiful, relaxing, and out-of-the-way of it all. However, the owners seem to do too much nickel and dime-ing. Example: charging $$ to take your boat OUT of the water.

I rented a cabin over the winter, so your experience may vary. The cabin was very nice, with a homey, woodsy feel to it. Rent was reasonable, and ask utilities were included, aside from electric. Views of the lake are great.

The cabin was very nice and clean and the activities available were enough to keep my kids busy. Would highly recommend staying here.
