I stayed at the Super 8 for work a few weeks ago; usually I stay at the Microtel or Comfort Inn but they were fully booked. The first room they gave me smelled very strong of cigarette smoke, the shower was not clean, and the bed boxspring was broken. The second room smelt like urine and the door wouldn't lock. The third room still had an unpleasant odor, the tub was not clean, and there was debris on the carpet, but by this point it was 11 pm and I decided to try and get some sleep. I will not stay at this hotel again. 10 out of 10, do not recommend.
Was visiting Kirkland Lake on a business trip and booked this facility weeks in advance. After close to a 9hr driving and arriving here, I was told that there is no room available for me.nnI arrived late in the afternoon, waited out in the lobby for a good 15mins and was met by a woman with a container on one hand and chewing on what looked like cookies. She asked how she can help, and I said I am checking in. She said they have no room available and I insisted that I had reservations booked. A couple of minutes later, comes a gentleman in a Super 8 shirt. He said exactly the same thing. He explained that there’s fire evacuations and they have given those individuals a priority. I asked why I was not contacted prior to arrival and was told they tried, only for him to take back what he said that they don’t have my contact information. We went back and forth and walked out of the facility in my frustration.nnI understand that there is a fire evacuation. I would have at least expected for them to reach out to the 3rd party I booked their facility in to ensure I was advised, again, this is after almost 9hrs of driving.nnDisappointing and awful to deal with.
It’s very clean but very old it was a very beautiful place when I was a child it could be again if they upgraded a little new doors would be a start with the price they charge they can afford it. The workers were wonderful I will stay again it’s very very clean and I have good memories .the cost was way to much
Rooms were dirty.nFloors and were filthy.nTV had like 5 channels.nRooms had a strange smell.nPaid hotel rates for a low grade motel.nNever Again.
Lived in room 211 at late july to early august the rooms were clean and tidy the service was nice i love the people free food in the lobby and good dinners and i would come here again it was an awesome experience.
