The best price in town. The rooms are clean and are being renovated as I write this. They're mostly done. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a bar open in the evening. Breakfast is included.Rooms: 4/5
The staff were friendly but overall, not worth it. Yes it’s the cheapest hotel in Kirkland Lake, but if you’re going to raise the prices, the value should match. I shouldn’t find contacts and used socks under my bed, or have stained sheets. The “breakfast” advertised is a couple items in a bag… I’d rather spend a bit more money at another hotel and have a clean room.
Overall good stay, room was clean. Wasn’t given the room booked but we made due. Ice machine was broken. Was perfect location for the plans we had for the weekend. Didn’t find a smell at all in our room or the hallway. No maid service for clean towels but front desk was willing to give more.Rooms: 4/5
It is difficult to get beyond the smell! The hotel was not busy at all but our first room was right by the noisy door/staircase. They graciously switched us to a different room which was a lot less odorous. We acclimated to it fairly quickly. The rooms were dated but clean. All the amenities were there. The bagged complimentary breakfast was laughable! It consisted of fruit juice tetrapac and a granola bar. We went for an evening stroll before bed but quickly turned back as we felt unsafe with some of the characters we met.
A serviceable motel to stay at while traveling through Kirkland Lake. Rooms are what you'd expect from a Super 8 but cost over $200 a night. Bathrooms are in terrible condition and need to be updated. The entire motel smells of stale smoke from previous years as a smoking motel. Limited services and the cheapest "breakfast" consisting of a paper sack with a tiny juice box, small apple and yogurt. No choice is offered the bag is stapled shut and you must ask for it it is not offered.
service indifferent to customer requests. the toilet wobbles in the bathroom. When two people check in, wifi only works for the one who connected first. instead of breakfast, they give a small bag with one apple and yogurt. even without the bun. The air conditioner turns on and off.Rooms: 3/5
Well I had quite a drive but this place is convenient. Lots of stuff nearby, quick check in even with no reservation. Excellent service and Friendly staff.Rooms: 5/5
I will keep it simple. Room assigned 133 was fouls smelling. Did not voice concern as it was just needed one night as it was a stop over. Went to shower next morning, shower did not work. Management unwilling to accommodate except to say walk across parking lot and use showers in main building. Asked for compensation. No. Customer service - 0 Professionalism - 0 Cleanliness - 3 as bed was clean Location - 5 close walking distance to restaurants. If ever in Kirkland Lake again, never again. Plenty of hotels in this nice town.
I would not suggest this as a family hotel by far. Way over priced for the cleanliness and smell ruminating from the carpets. Its extremely outdated! Wouldnt let my kids touch anything, we left after 10mons amd checking 2 rooms. if i had no choice but to stay there i would sleep with my clothes and shoes on. This hotel needs complete renos so very badly. The property manager was very kind and understanding yet seemed unphased by our concerns and wanting to leave. Almost as though he had given up on the place long ago.
