I recently stayed there. There was a problem with the hot water in my room. I informed the front desk and they let me know that the unit next to us also relies on the same hot water tank. I asked for a solution and they said it normally doesn't happen. Again, the next night the hot water didn't work. One of the main reasons I wanted to stay at this hotel was to be able to have a hot shower at the end of the day of fishing.nnThe manager refused to do anything as far as compensating us for the substantial inconvenience. I would not recommend this hotel!
Stayed at this place during the summertime because I had work in the area.nRooms are ok, however, I had issues with hot water and poor wifi. No laundry facilities available, and no laundry mat bring town. The management is horrible. No willingness to do anything about the issues.nThe front desk lady is sour and miserable. Shouldn’t be in the service industry.nYou’d be better off staying at the Houston Motor Inn, or the Pleasant Valley Motel. They have laundry facilities available.nWith my working in the area on various occasions throughout the summer, I’ve stayed at all 3. The Sunshine Inn might be newer, but hardly worth giving any hard earned money too, considering all aspects.
This place is a couple of blocks off the main highway so not as easy to see as the competition but had nice rooms and pleasant staff. No unpleasant surprises when you walk in the room. Within easy walking distance to a Subway and Tim Hortons.
This is the place you want to stay if your in houstan it wasn't too much pricier then the pleasant inn which we stayed at before. The room for one night costed me $190.97 taxes in for one bedroom two queen beds. This hotel is updated, clean, has an elevator, a outdoor patio but no chairs outside, a coffee pot in the lobby and an elevator. Its just off the main drag which helps eliminate noise and is still close to restraunts, Tim Hortons and the gas station. Only thing I could recommend improving is softer pillows the ones there are hard and compact square and that the front desk service is a little friendlier.
The place is fairly nice overall. I had a queen room with kitchen and it was a spacious room with a full kitchen. Off the highway with basically no highway noise at all. I'm not sure why it's $200/night for a hotel room more than I'm paying for a suite in Vancouver next week. And understand things cost more up north. Staff are generally friendly, place is clean. Was a bit disappointed there was only a shower and no tub! Nice selection of organic teas at the front. Room was barely ready on time so suggest calling ahead if you need your room promptly or early!nCertainly the most comfortable place to stay in Houston, if you can afford the extra $30 or $40 / night over the roadside motels, it's worth it.
