Service was awesome, food was even better! Money well spent. Prices are so cheap for amazing food quality. Felt like a real mom and pop shop. Will be back most definitely. Kayla our server was amazing. She had another employee very polite, and professional worked together. Olivia was fantastic. Thank you both, management and was on top of it. Couldn’t ask for much more. Great experience found our new favorite place!! Kid-friendliness: Very cautious about safety hot coffee around the little ones. brought out coloring books and crayons for all the kids! Even acknowledging our loved ones. All ages Parking: Best location in town. Updated parking was smooth.

Passing through Rochelle. I read the reviews before my daughter and I went to the Sunrise Family Restaurant. We were hoping for a somewhat palatable, warm, decently priced meal. When we arrived it was crowded. That's always a good sign. We were seated within minutes, had our drink order taken and served quickly served by the owners son. He was very friendly and personable. The waitress came to take our order with a smile. I looked around to see other diners that seemed pleased and content. I ordered the Sunday special. Half roasted chicken, french onion soup, and mashed potatoes for $11.99. There was also corn and stuffing. I will confess, I am a foodie...and I was impressed because the food was homemade and flavorful. On top of that, I have lunch and dinner for tomorrow. I don't know how this family makes money serving such large portions. I have a feeling they've done this with folks their whole lives...cooking too much. The Dad and uncle I glanced at cooking behind the counter cook for people with love and have a real passion and calling to feed people and see them happy and satisfied. When I pass near Rochelle in the future...I'll be sure to return. My daughter was telling people at our hotel about our experience! I hope the family will carry on this legacy. It's a rare thing to get a real home-cooked meal anywhere these days. Thanks y'all for a great experience!

Service horrible bathrooms nasty. We got our food 40 minutes later. They lost our ticket. Waitress apologized the owner or higher ups nothing they didn't care. They completely forgot us. We will no go again. I would give -5 stars if I could. Don't bother they don't care

Just walked out. Theres 3 waitresses on duty and was told sit anywhere. Looked around and only a few cleaned booths the rest were not. I asked for someone to clean a booth we wanted to sit in and a girl with long dark hair mumbled that there were OTHER clean booths. How can a restaurant let a server talk to a customer like that? The restaurant had one large party and was not busy. No reason for unclean booths or wisecrack remarks. We are paying customers. Management should talk with his staff about customer service.

Great home cooking! Excellent dessert options. Liked it so much came back for breakfast Fluffy pancakes and they even have egg white options.

Home made food....really....it is homemade and you can taste it! Its great prices...the people there treat you like family. We drive from 3 towns away just to eat there. Amazing!

Great food at reasonable and fare prices. Second trip, very consistent portions. Kids love it. Wife liked her meal also. Service was a little slow but it was the busiest time of the day ; Don't believe some of the reviews and complaints on TripAdvisor.

The waitress never lets my coffee cup be empty. She is always smiling and efficient. The food is consistently good. Kid-friendliness: My grandson definitely enjoys their pancakes and bacon.

This is a great place to eat in Rochelle! The servers are friendly, the restaurant has a small town feel and taste and there are a lot of menu items! The amount of choices is probably the only problem with this restaurant. I ordered Turkey and Gravy and it was great! I ate it all. For desert, I chose Tapioca pudding. It is not my favorite desert, but it is a more healthy alternative to icecream. PS: - My Mom loves to get the spinach pie!
