Grubsteakers Restaurant

I haven't eaten here in years. Even before the Tornado hit. So this is basically my first time here. I was surprised at the creative options on the menu. Found many things I wanted to try. Almost ordered the "Horse"... I was quite pleased with my meal. My kids ate till they were full. The dessert options are awesome. This place is definitely worth a drive into the country.

Good food. Good service. I'd go there again if I'm in the area.

Outdated interior, cracked vinyl seating, handed a dirty menu after being seated at a dirty table. Note the brown goop with burned and greasy tortilla strips. Looks as though they need an experienced chef and also need to stop serving canned/microwaved foods. Disgusting!! This was supposed to be chicken tortilla soup. I informed the waitress who told me she would get into alot of trouble saying anything to her boss. Stay away from this place!!

My husband and I go here almost every week- it’s a quaint little place and we love it! The wait staff is always wonderful and the prices are amazing! The service is always fast and the food is excellent especially the soups :

Our family recently stopped for lunch. Since the tornado the food has been subpar. Each time I’ve tried a different dish and was always disappointed. How can you ruin potato soup? White sauce and potato’s is not how it’s made. Everyone complained about the food. The room had the dirtiest carpet I have ever seen in a restaurant. Surprised the health department hasn’t shut them down. If the carpet was that disgusting I wonder about the kitchen. It looks like it has been there for 50 years and it’s a less than 10 years old. What happened? Clean up the place and get a decent cook.

Staff was super friendly and the prices were just right. The only downfall was that my food was overly salty but that could just be my personal taste. I would definitely come back again.

Very low quality food, sausage not really edible, low-cost frozen hash browns out of a bag. Think nursing home cafeteria food. My boss took me to breakfast there because it was along our way. Great story about how a tornado wiped out the building and they rebuilt it and are up and running again. However, if you're serving garbage food and the universe sends a tornado to destroy your restaurant.......why would you keep serving garbage food after you rebuilt? Clearly you did not understand the message......

I'm glad I took that exit off the interstate. Grubsteakers has a similar look and feel to a Perkins, however, the food is much better. The waitress staff works well together, the service was great. The prices on the food are very reasonable. I had a really good Philly cheese steak and awesome french fries. The burger was good too.

I’m all for supporting small businesses but I later found out they charge for Togo containers and the girl who I will not say that took my order decided to give herself a tip from my card without me knowing. I just paid whatever I was told but when I went home I did the math and it wasn’t mathing. It’s such a shame because I enjoyed the food, but I will not be returning because of my bad experience here.
