Shioon Kim, DMD
Dr. Shioon Kim was born and grew up at South Korea. He served for the South Korean Military for 3 years. He received B.S. in Education (Biology), KongJu National Univ. South Korea in Feb. 1993. He moved to Hawaii for further study after he married his wife, Yeon mi.
He received B.S. in Biochemistry, BYU-Hawaii in 2001 and Doctor of Dental Medicine, School of Dental Medicine, Case Western Reserve Univ. in 2005. During his dental school, he researched--Human Beta Defense (Hbd-1, -2, and -3) functions against bacteria, Case School of Dental Medicine 2002 and published it with ADA. He has five children including twins with his wife. He loves to his children and to meditate the meaning of life. He likes to play soccer, badminton, and swimming. He is eager to serve our community for betterment.
