Your child's smile is our priority at Poulsbo Children's Dentistry. Our doctors are Board-certified pediatric specialists who offer both primary and specialty care for infants, children and adolescents, including those with special health care needs. Providing care since 2001, the practice serves the children of the Kitsap Peninsula including the cities of Bainbridge Island, Bremerton, Kingston, Poulsbo, Port Angeles, Sequim, Silverdale and Suquamish.

Dr. Self and her experienced friendly team love children and are trained to help them overcome dental apprehension and gently work to develop a positive attitude about oral hygiene and dental visits. Our focus on compassion and safety combines with the latest technology in a child-friendly environment to ensure patients receive the highest quality service and exceptional care. We partner with parents on preventative care to build a relationship that will last a lifetime and ensure that each child has a happy and healthy smile.

Wouldn't go anywhere else after our first experience here the other day. From start to finish, this practice is all about KIDS, making it as fun as possible, listening to them, being respectful that they are people too, and taking good care of them. It's just so set up for kiddos and the staff are wonderful, patient, caring. It was our 2-year olds first appt and the hygienist was so patient with our less-than-interested-in-opening-her-mouth-kiddo!

I was in and out in a matter of 20 minutes. The actual procedure was only 2 minutes, and all of the staff was very kind and professional. I felt completely informed about every step of the procedure that was taking place. I wouldn't have wanted anyone else to do this procedure on my 3 week old, Dr. Self is amazing.

I literally wanted to hug my daughters hygienist after our appointment. We were seeing another dentist for my daughter when she got her first cavities. It was all handled pretty terribly and she experienced a bit of trauma. Every dentist visit was becoming dreaded for us both. We had been to Poulsbo children's a few years back and I was reluctant to try again but was willing after reviews I'd heard of dr self. Dr Self was kind and patient and treated us with such gentleness. I was blown away by the drastic difference in care that had my fearful daughter happy as could be. Also, movies playing on tvs above each chair. Enough said. Thank you Dr Self and staff!!!!

My 8 month old had her lip and tongue frenectomy procedure done at Poulsbo Children's Dentistry with Dr.Self and did wonderful!! She is discovering her new mobility of her lips and tongue! I am so happy that the procedure only took a few minutes and we were able to nurse right after! The difference it made was incredible! Dr. Self and her team are amazing, gentle and so caring. She is always putting the child's needs and comfort first and I appreciate her conservative approach with treatment! I couldn't be happier with the visit and how the procedure and recovery went. My daughters latch is now beautiful and no pain for mom or baby!
