My analog Nikon had several things that needed to be fixed; the film advance wasn't working properly and the film broke every time when I reached frame 20 or so, the light meter needle wouldn't move and there was a big black spot in the viewfinder which I couldn't remove by myself. I took the camera to Sunflower repair and my camera was fixed in two days. The owner was extremely efficient and he made me feel safe about leaving it there. Although it wasn't cheap, all three problems were solved. I enjoyed meeting the owner and his wife in their little shop. I highly recommend them.

Bau gets to the point and doesn't waste time on frivolities, which is nice. He fixed the light meter on my Minolta x-700 and had it ready very quickly.  His little shop is tidy and he charges a fair price to take in your camera and look at it. I did have another camera body where the shutter got stuck, but he wasn't able to fix that one unfortunately. But he didn't charge me for it.  His shop seems like it's been around for a long time so he must be doing something right.

Brought my camera Canon 6D in and heard back from him the next day. Mentioned I needed to buy a part from Canon which I did. The next day I brought the part in, after his usual working hours and was so great as to reopen his shop after calling. I'd thought I'd need to give him a couple days or even weeks to fix it considering it's Christmas holidays, but nope he fixed it within the hour. Had a nice talk after too. Great service, great guy. Definitely recommend.

Do not trust Mr. Bau with your precious lens. He failed to repair mine after charging me $135. When I took it back, he claimed it was "unrepairable" and dropped it on the floor of his shop as he was returning it to me. I had the lens repaired elsewhere, including the dent damage Mr. Bau caused when he dropped the lens in front of me.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE  Went in to get my yashica Mat-G repaired, and he wasn't sure whether or not he could repair it. Then after a day he called back and said he could. Then – months later - calls to tell me he's not sure if it's fixed or not, but to come pick it up and still pay full repair price. I was out of the country, and when I came back, he refused to give me my camera without a receipt – even though I had my phone and ID with me. He even made some weird remark about throwing out all the cameras he had and going out of business. Wonder why.  The worst part is he still wanted to get paid!  Lost my 450 dollar camera to this scam artist. Don't make the same mistake.

Very friendly and honest service. Bau Owner/Operator was very quick with the repair of my Canon EF lens. He diagnosed the problem efficiently and repaired the issue without having to replace parts. The other camera repair services I checked out previously completely misdiagnosed and quoted me way too much for the repair including the manufacturer. I saved quite a bit of money having my lens repaired at Sunflower Camera Repair. Would highly recommend to photo enthusiasts in the area who are in need of this service.

Henry's, where I purchased my camera, had a 4-6 week turnaround time for a simple repair. Bau the owner was courteous, competent, and quick, and had the repair completed the same day. I would highly recommend going to him though make sure you call in advance.

NOT RECOMMENDED  I would not recommend that you try and get your camera fixed here.  The owner took my camera without being honest enough to tell me that he had no idea of how to service my camera.  After trying to take it apart he realized that he didn't know what he was doing.  Now I have a damaged camera.  I expect his skills are as old and dusty as this shop.

I brought in my Minolta XG-M to get repaired and it took about a week. Pricing is very fair and he is very courteous. Don't let the small shop fool you he knows what he's doing! He's an ex Minolta employee so I assume those cameras are his forte.

Had a horrible experience years ago where I was quoted 100 and charged 300 dollars and I believe he took my good parts and replaced them with cheap ones and it still doesn’t wind film properly. Happy they are out of business. What a scammer.
