Amazing family friendly place to go during the summer and even in the off-season! So much to do and so much for them to offer even if boating or jet skiing is not your thing. Golf, mini-golf, food, small boat rentals, and gifts for everyone. The cabins are a bit antiquated but still enjoyable and nostalgic, poolside cabins are newer and offer more space but the lakeside cabins are just as good with slightly less space. My family has been going here with small breaks in between since 1955 and we just keep coming back.
1st time visiting with friends who have been coming for years. Stayed in cabin 3. We expected minimal accommodations but I did not sleep for 2 nights. The beds might be original! The worst night sleep ever. In desperate need of new mattresses. Futon was also broken. Air conditioner was great. We felt the cabin was clean. We liked the 1950's charm and descent priced food. Lake was great! If we come again we would need to bring our own bed topper. Pretty sure not worth the price but you get a great lake.
Absolutely love the fall festivals! Ive been there 2 of last 3 years. Free entry, parking & live rock band was Cheyene. Good eats available & clean restrooms. A beautiful park like setting, tall trees & water access.
Was a great place Tues. - Wed - Thurs everything turned....with people showing up . None of the rules were enforced. People across from us were partying until 2am loudly, no dogs were on their leashes only to walk them in our area anyway. So our dogs were barking raising cane because of all the other pets . We were glad to leave Fri. Morn. The neighbors were throwing the ball for their dog into our camp area, causing our dogs to bark, pull on their leashes etc. Had to tell them to throw their ball elsewhere. If the rules were enforced it would h ave been much more comfortable. If we go back it will be on a Mon on to Wed. Or Thurs morn. But don't want the dog traffic and partiers.
This park has some great extra amenities that make the stay extra special including a grocery store, golf course, snack shop, and boat rentals. There are several beaches with swim areas that range from toddler safe to dock jumping. The restrooms are well maintained and quick to get to no matter where you are in the park. There is so much wildlife! The cabins are older and nothing fancy, but I saw some AC units! There is hiking available, but there is no need to hike to experience a great view! 45 minutes from Grand Coulee dam and several other natural attractions. Definitely worth a several night stay.
I like sun lakes resort. Floating on your back in the middle of that lake on a sunny day is every thing you could ask for. The people are nice, management is responsive to any issues that come up, and the concession place has some good food. It's old though. The cabins could really use some updating. Our bathroom sink wouldn't drain and our toilet wouldn't flush properly. There's also lots of bugs, so pack your bug spray. All that aside, my family had fun here and we'll be back next summer.
I would never go back to this resort. We even cut our trip short because of how horrible our experience was. The staff at the counter was rude. They have a form you have to fill out and they ask for a bunch of information that’s ok. When I told her I needed to go back out to our vehicle to get the info she said “oh you don’t need to put that” after She sat there and watched me search in my phone for at least 5 mins before hand. She wouldn’t give me a map or give me any directions to our RV spot other than “just go up the hill”….our site was barely big enough for our Rv and they knew the size of the Rv when we booked LAST YEAR, and our site was covered in trash, kids toys and a pair glasses that was left behind. We walked around the park and trash was everywhere else too. They had people parked too close and packed in like sardines. The garbage dumpsters were overflowing all over the park and you could smell trash everywhere we went. This seemed like one big party “resort” and kids running around unsupervised causing trouble. We have kids of our own but this just seemed like a bunch of unorganized chaos. Also they say they have wifi…it sucks. Because there was so many people you couldn’t even get on it and there is no service. They false advertised a lot of things .
I go here with my family every year around late August, or early September it's a pretty nice campsite in a very nice park. cell phone reception is garbage, but the Wi-Fi helps. at this point it's become tradition to go to Sun lakes with my family, so the novelty has worn off some.
Awsome place would visit again. So many things to do . Has store gift shop, diner, mini golf, 9 hole golf coarse, ice cream shop. Beach.. is well kept ! Showers are 1 quarter run a long time. Great camping spots. We had a buddy spot for us and our friends.
Has a small grocery store, gift shop and a window restaurant where you can order ice cream and hot food from the window. Also has a giant ice machine. Can rent boats and water toys too. A few cabins and places to pitch a tent. Tents are on gravel and can be a little uncomfortable if you don't have something between the ground and tent. We really enjoyed it here. Only small gripes were - sleeping on gravel, no signal for phones couldn't check my security cameras The lake was intended for kids, so it's shallow for the first maybe 30 - 50 feet. Rangers were very nice.
