A satisfying lunch box. The side dishes from this place have more variety than other Korean restaurants -- deep fried dry shrimps, egg rolls, and lily buds are delicate. I was also surprised by the clear broth of the slow cooked pork bones. In my opinion it has a more refined taste than the typical spicier Gamjatang. A good find among the containers!
We had #1 and #4. Fantastic. We could tell the food was made with love and the taste was just fantastic. Yes, it was comfort food, but wholesome, healthy. The black rice purple when served was nice; not something one sees everyday. It was perfect.
Sulee Dosirak is my favorite Korean place in downtown Toronto. Their bibimbap is excellent, and their lunch box dosirak offers a good assortment of banchan side dishes that most Korean restaurants don't serve--the variety and quality are excellent. Their food is not overly sugary, spicy, or greasy, and it feels just like homemade food. Their kimchi which you can order online and pick up is the best I can find in Toronto--their vegan kimchi is as excellent as their regular kimchi. The sister-brother duo are always super friendly, and you can feel their pride of the food they serve. Highly recommended!
Am absolute gem in Market 707. The bibimbap was cooked perfectly and tastes great with the soup. The owners are very friendly and their passion for Korean food shows in the dishes that they prepare. Will definitely be back!
A great addition to Market 707! If you're near Kensington market or along Spadina Ave already, it's definitely worth a quick walk to this spot. Really great flavours and generous portions. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable, as well. Will definitely be coming back!
It is hard to find vegan Korean food. The last time I was able to experience these flavours was in Itaewon, Korea. Today, I had the full restaurant experience. The vegan bibimbap was phenomenal. I will be back. !
As a first timetraveler to Toronto, and Kensington market, I wanted to try this Korean bento lunch after reading good reviews. When I approached the stool, I was greeted by Michaelhope I got his name right! and felt very welcomed. I ordered Kimchi jjim bento. This dish is not usually available on Korean food stool setting since it takes time to cook it right. But this place had it! So it made me curious how it would taste. And I am glad that I went for this dish! Kimchi jjim was REALLY REALLYGOOD! Soft kimchi and pork, yum! I could tell that they used quality meat as wellno bad smell or lingering taste!. I also could tell that their kimchi is not store-bought. It is homemade, GOOD kimchi. Like my grandma and my mom used to make every winter back in Korea. This food stool also used multi grain. More nutritious but can be costly for the stool owners. But they anyway did it for their customers. I know, not all Korean restaurants spend extra money on multi grain, and most of them choose white rice for less cost. The bento came with MANY side dishes which tasted really good, too! They are real Korean side dishes. Not Americanized/canadianized. Some people might feel they are slightly bland but as a Korean born and raised in Korea, I felt they are excellent and authentic! Also, Portion-wise, the owners were generous. it was more than enough! I finished everything and felt full and satisfied. Lastly, Michael's wifeor sister? came over to me while I was eating, to ask how I am enjoying their food. It showed that she cares about how her customers think about their food. Very humble and open-minded. I said it is really good and she told me that she learned how to make all these dishes from her mom before she passed away in 2018. I hope many more people go and give it a try. I am sure you'll not be disappointed. For Value for money. For taste. For kindness.
A hidden gem in the heart of Toronto on Dundas. Sulee Dosirak was an experience of home. The pork bone dosirak is incredibly flavorful with fall off the bone meat. The wide variety of Banchan keeps your tastebuds on high alert for exciting flavour combinations. Affordable prices. Unique atmosphere. Love it. You gotta try it.
Loved my bulgogi bibimbap. Generous portions of veggies and beef. Lots of gochujang sauce below the egg and underneath the rice. The owners are also super friendly! Will be back!
One of the best korean food places in Toronto!! Great people. It's worth making a trip for their food. Highly recommend.
