Love the atmosphere, friendly staff and most importantly the fresh handmade dim sum!! Unique dine in experience with thought environmental friendly in mind as these dim sum are all plated on compostable packaging such as corn starch packaging and palm leaves. These dim sum taste as good as like ones you can find up in Markham except that its accessible right in downtown Toronto. Highly recommend the spare ribs, abalone tart and egg tart! The flavour and texture definitely taste of delight!
Came here for a quick lunch to go. Service was friendly and prompt. The interior was simple but executed in a way that made it look beautiful and well though. Making the simple look beautiful isn't easy. I have been wanting something dim sum related for a few weeks now. I tried the Shrimp & Minced Pork Dumpling W/ Black Roes Sui Mai. I got the 4 piece option. I think they were good but nothing special. I wonder if they were smaller pieces if that would have made them better. Parking: Paid parking lot down the street and paid street parking.
Clean, spacious and great food. You can tell they put a lot of thought and effort into the process of making all of their meals. Dim Sum that I have had in the past is usually cheap and fast. This was an experience of slow and steady and definitely worth it.
Went here based on a recommendation from a friend... Lets just say, I was not disappointed. Ordered the Crispy squid tentacles with oats and Fried Sesame Rice Ball Fill With Salty Egg Yolk for take out. Ordered it for pickup. The food was hot and smelled delicious all the way till I reached home. It remained hot will I reached home about 20 minutes. The texture on the squid was impeccable and tasted 10/10. I would have loved double the amount, too bad it finished too quickly. Not sure if its my taste buds but the Fried Sesame Rice Ball, but it tasted really sweet to the taste. It was warm, and tasted delicious... Parking: Paid street parking and nearby underground parking.
An amazing spot for dim sum in the downtown area! Loving the whole interior which provides a nice little aesthetic. Food was awesome! Nice and fresh and tasted just how dim sum should be with a few little surprises! The abalone tart is a must! The nice little chew on the abalone combined with the slightly firm tart shell was pure bliss! The egg tart, this has got to be one of the best egg tarts in the city now! I still think about that soft slightly melty custard centre and the flaky crust from the shell! For some people who want something lighter, they also offer a salad on the menu with nice little Asian influences in the dressing, which came out tangy, and slightly sweet. The other thing that definitely caught my attention is their tableware and containers. All compostable and as well, the little sauce containers are even made from corn starch! They are also the sister restaurant of the one in markham called providential 9, which is also superb at dim sum! But you can only get that abalone tart and some other signature items at the downtown location! Definitely coming back to try that mango mochi! Service was on point, super efficient and loving the setup where you look at the menu, and go to the counter to order and await pickup of food! Very streamlined process! Currently awaiting a sign for the outside, so if you think you’re at the right address and seeing nothing showing the spot, you’re totally at the right location! Great job overall! Minimalist restaurant with a natural old school design. They definitely could have crammed in twice the amount of tables but that's not what they were going for. Beautifully designed with amazing Dimsum food. Highly recommendFood: 5/5
Not an extensive menu of dimsum but the food was delicious. Don't expect a dimsum cart to come around, you order with the cashier and then grab a table. The items were brought out all at once, fresh and steaming hot.
Tried this new dim sum spot when they first opened their doors - it was DELICIOUS!!! Loved the dishes I tried: - The deep fried salted egg yolk dish was fantastic - The short ribs were excellent, too!! - The bbq pork bun was also super tasty - and the filling was super generous! Big fan - and so happy to see a great dim sum spot pop up downtown!! P.S. I’ve already ordered twice from here :
Great spot to grab dimsum! The space is beautiful and modern and not anything like your typical dim sum spots. The staff were very friendly and all the dishes were presented in a compost friendly plate along with their utensils. All the dishes we ordered were delicious and will definitely come back again.
Pretty solid dimsum spread. I enjoyed the dumplings and squid tentacles especially. The ribs were alright, wished there was more seasoning/flavor. The sticky rice lotus wrap was not the right texture, maybe just my batch. The abalone tart was interesting, abalone was not overcooked which is great. Total cost us around $75, which is a tad on the higher side.
