Very big... And yes, you have to stay in line about 30-40 min even with confirmed reservation. Quite simple interior and dishes. 40$par person for an usual menu. But you can buy some vine or beer to make your visit colourful :- They suggest taking your unfinished food with you. The service is good.
Food : 4/5 Service : 5/5 Place : 2/5 Price: 4/5 We went there during a weekday so it was pretty empty, the service was super fast and the food was decent. We also liked the fact that it was an all you can eat and that we could bring the left over food home, very great way to reduce food waste. However, the ambiance was a bit off and it wasn’t as welcoming as other sugar shack. Overall it a good experience.
This was such an amazing experience! You get a large quantity of food for the price. The food was fine but the deserts were amazing!! It was fun to get the maple popsicles and pet the lambs. Its a worthwhile experience! Food: 4/5
This place takes away the pleasure of going to a sugar shack. First of all, we had to wait 1.5 hrs to get in even with a reservation. Once we were seated, we received our food. Some parts of the meal were good such as the omelette and the sausages. My friend ordered a beer and had to ask three times before he got it. So much for drinking the beer with the meal. The desserts which are my favorite part usually were not good. The pancakes were rubbery, the pudding chomeur was swimming in syrup so it was an overdose of sugar. I don’t recommend.
Our service was absolutely exceptional. Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but out servers were absolutely lovely and attentive. They noticed that my cousin was vegetarian from us just asking if there was meat in the soup and actually separated the meat from other dishes and brought vegetarian sausages without us even asking. It was such an incredible act of kindness that impressed the whole group and made my cousin feel included. Absolutely amazing experience and we will definitely be back!
I really wanted to like this place as I love their microbrewery beers. Sadly, we didn't have a good experience. We reserved in advance, but still had to wait in line for almost an hour. Once seated, we waited a long time to be served. However, there was no wait time when it came to paying and leaving. The service wasn't great either. The waitress was a bit rude. I know sugar shack food isn't fine cuisine, but it was not worth 40$ per person in my opinion. I did feel bad for the staff as it seems they over book the place for profit. Not impressed.
We reserved in advance for party of 7 including 3 little kids at 11AM. We waited in line for about 45 minutes which feels like forever when you have hangry toddlers.... They really need to fix this part of the experience. It is so chaotic and just spoke to a friend who had reservations at 2PM and still were not seated by 3:20PM so they left!!! I would recommend having different lines for the different time slots because your stuck in a line with people that have different reservation times with not a lot of room to move or tell whoever is in charge what time you booked for. Just plain chaos.... Food: I enjoyed it and it was better than many of the other sugar shacks I've been to, HOWEVER, I would have loved bacon and did miss it. The desserts were REALLY good. Service: We lucked out and got really great waitresses. They were quick and friendly. We didn't feel rushed to leave or pay. The grounds: It was beautiful and more modern compared to what we've been to before. They had a small playground, slides, and an indoor farm. We saw the tractor ride but it was too cold so we skipped it. Overall, we had a great time minus the wait at the beginning. I don't think we will be back mainly because of this reason. Waiting 45/1hour/1h30 possibly more is ridiculous especially with young kids. If they can fix this and maybe not over reserve, I'd go back.
Traditional Sugar Shack food with no frills but cooked well and you will leave stuffed. Large dining rooms with long benches and limited character - I much prefer the smaller places that are actually in a sugar bush. Not a maple tree in sight and no entertainment except 5 minute helicopter rides for $40.Food: 3/5
The usual for a sugar shack in Quebec but with so many people around the service and organization was really poor... 2 hrs wait to get seated... food very average.Food: 2/5
Had reservations, had to wait 2 hours to be seated. They charged me twice but there’s no internet in the shack. So you have to walk all the way out in the parking lot to check your bank account. Went back to be refunded and they wouldn’t refund the tip on the second identical charge. Had to ask for the full second charge back so I don’t pay the tip twice. I would rather eat my own shoe than go here again.
