Great little hidden gem in Halifax! Any of the boa buns are a great choice & they go the extra mile when plating the food to make it look super cool! Lots of cool cocktails too! This is a great spot to try something new! They have an interactive menu that shows pictures of everything as well so that helps a lot when venturing away from your normal order. The staff is always so great!
This place serves amazing Asian fusion food. Had a hearty dinner here and was satisfied with every dish! Their calamari and scallops were particularly yummy. Tried their Vietnamese coffee creme brulee which was a delight. Highly recommend!
I had a great experience here last week with a friend. If you have a chance to try the bao, please do so it was delicious! Service was excellent. Atmosphere was inviting. Most definitely will be back!
LOVE!! From both owners coming to seat, serve and talk to us, to the phenomenal food, to the cozy atmosphere, to reasonable prices for elevated dishes, Studio East is a destination!! We're full, happy and ready for a show at the Rebecca Cohn!! Potato dumplings, chicken karaage, bao, chicken rice bowl, curry, and veitnamese coffee Creme Brule!!
Great every time, “the burger” is one of my favourite in the city and the fries are high quality. Great selection of local drinks too. Also love the ambience, great lighting and intimate setting, great for a date night.
Cool, casual spot for food and drink. The bao bun and oysters were great. I had the ramen gluten free noodles. The broth was lacking, making the ramen not the best pick on the menu but my friends had no complaints on their entrees. The music was great and overall was a fun vibe for a Friday night dinner
I eat authentic Asian food my entire life and I still love it here so much. The twist from some traditional Asian taste comes out just as perfect. Service is quick. Atmosphere is vibrance. Table is a little bit small especially after you are satistified with your meal ^__^. Definitely will come back again and recommend for others.
For a Tuesday night, the restaurant was popping. I went with a friend and I got: pork belly bao, plant based wagyu steak bao, and cauliflower/brussel sprout appetizer. All items were very good. I was intrigued by the plant based wagyu steak and how they were able to mimic the texture of beef so well. The pork belly almost melts in your mouth with how soft it is. The appetizer was okay but a tad too salty and had me chugging water with eat bite. The vibe of the restaurant was also pretty good. However, it was quite loud in the restaurant and we found ourselves almost yelling at each other to have a conversation. Overall a good experience, I would recommend it as a good place to try.
Friendly staff, incredibly flavorful food, good portion. Worth a visit! Second visit to this place. I must say, months later, the flavour hasn't decreased but improved. Especially the ramen was top-notch. Portions are still incredibly generous despite inflation and stuff, haha. I love this place; been talking about it since.
Amazing food and great service. Nice to see meal presentation on a tablet to make selections easier. Generous portions at fair prices. Parking: On the street.
