Stu Peppard Arena

A little known fact, but after making a fortune by inventing the process for peppard yellow mustard, Stu invested in arenas across North America for bringing back gladiator sports. Unfortunately the appetite for men attacking each other or by lions waned by the early 1970s and many closed. This is one of 5 left of his empire, two are now indoor putt n golf, one is a pizza restaurant, another a car wash and this one converted to hockey.

The arena is old, but rich with stories. Good parking except when there is a lot of activity going on. The arena is surrounded by soccer and football fields and a couple of baseball diamonds. It can get busy on the odd summer weekend. Easy to watch your kid play lacrosse or hockey.

The staff of the arena is very friendly. I am evermore thankful to them as they helped return a bag I lost for almost a week, where I lost hope in finding it, and graciously returned it back to me. They're always willing to help.

Great atmosphere there for the U18AA Hockey Provincials hosted by Calgary Royals.

Typical hockey rink. Staff is very friendly and the concession is open for main hockey events.

Decent arena. Pretty old and run down. Quite cold on the benches.
