I decided to spontaneously purchase a beautiful house that I had happened upon. That meant I needed someone to guide me through the process of buying and then quickly selling my house. Steve has years of experience and puts his clients first. Earlier this year with Steve's help, we bought our first house here in Canada. Having been a realtor in Edmonton for a long time and knowing a lot of people in the business, Steve was able to connect us with the right people, from mortgage broker, property lawyer to a reputable house inspector. The Edmonton market is a tough market to deal with. Some years ago, when I first bought my condo (2008), I went with Steve Sedgwick due to his experience in Condominium Law, regulations, and what to avoid. It was my first time buying a home, so I was looking for someone with quality advice to offer. The end result is his advice saved me a lot of headache in the end, and put my husband and I in a home we loved for many years. When we ended up moving, and trying to sell the place - I did the stupid thing, and tried to go cheap. I used one of the bargain real estate firms, and paid the price. Nothing happened, and I had to force them to release me from my agreement. Once I did this, I enlisted the help of Steve. Unfortunately the market was terrible, due to the drop in oil, and the waves of unemployment in Edmonton. He was a beacon of advice, expertise, and more importantly - getting it done. It took longer than I would have liked, but the Condo sold. Whole my many emails and text messages to him from out of country certainly wouldn't show it, Steve helped ensure that we were in good hands, and that we felt it. Our impatience did not wear on him, and his persistence got the property sold. Steve was worth every penny of the commission payout, and more importantly, worth it for us "newbies" to not only purchase a property painlessly, but to sell that property when we relocated 7.5 years later.
