Steckle Heritage Farm is an educational charity, teaching children and their families about food, and where it comes from.

Story

We are a charitable organization which operates programs for youth and the community on a heritage designated 15 acre farm in the City of Kitchener. Connect to where your food comes from, educate youth and families with hands on learning experiences, and inspire the Region of Waterloo to appreciate the importance of Agriculture -- this is what we do!

I've had great times visiting the Steckle Homestead. I think it is clearly established that it is a great place to take the family for a day trip, but it's also definitely worth checking out as a student nearby too! Petting a goat is a surprisingly effective method of de-stressing before and after exams. Highly recommend making a visit here!

The farm is one of the greatest places in Kitchener! Lovely staff, very helpful and knowledgeable - even the animals are friendly. We've had numerous events there and they have all been wonderful. Highly recommend!

Every time I've ever been at Steckle has been an incredible experience. The place is absolutely beautiful, and the owners are some fantastic people that always have a smile on their face. I look forward to being there every time I have the opportunity to go.

We have attended Steckle farm many times-- adult events, farm camp and community events. Each experience was a positive one with the staff, setting and the adorable animals. I highly recommend Steckle for family programs and as a venue for events of all sizes.

We took our kids here for the learning programs and it's one of our favourite places to go. A bit of pastoral magic in the middle of the city!
