A great way to spend a few hours with your kids. We went for noon so a lot less people there. Lots of parking. Didn’t get to see all the animals since it was hot but the kids loved it. Can walk through the whole park in a couple hours. Washrooms couple be s bit cleaner as they smell but overall was a great time!Visited onWeekdayWait time1 hr+Reservation recommendedNo
Love love love this place! We went here on Father's day and even though it was busy the staff was organized! The animals seemed happy and were moving around. Plus a good portion of the walking paths were shaded! The only reason why I'm giving it a 4 and not 5 is because some of the paths were difficult not impossible to have the stroller in. So if any improvement could be done it would be having paths that are a bit more wheel friendly. But we will definitely be back!
Visited the park today, really friendly, interactive staff who are to be commended. The animals seem generally well-looked after. A wide range of large and small animals including beautiful lions. A good size park which lots of space and is varied. You'll happily spend half a day at the park. There is a basic gift shop which has cold drinks and ice creams and stuffed toys. There is no other food or cartering, so bring food etc with you!!! There are lots of picnic tables throughout the park and opportunities to sit and watch the peacocks or animal enclosures. Enjoyed by a 3 year old up to an 83 year old. Overall decent value for money to see a family-owned zoo. Good stuff!
My kids has a blast and loved every moment! I didn't plan ahead and forgot that schools do trips at the end of the school and year and it was VERY crowded the day we went. Not that the park is at fault for that! Also didn't get a good glance at some of the animals we were hoping to see, like the lions or wolves, as it was a hot day and they were all hiding away. The animals we did see were AMAZING! My kids were so excited about the tiger! I loved the little baby goats!
Small but nice! Good way to spend a couple hours with the family. Face painting until 1pm. She is fantastic! If you can dream it, she can pain it! Glitter, gems and quality paint! $5 face paint or $5 tattoos. Cash or card accepted too!Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
This is a small sized zoo but well maintained. Thrilled to visit the zoo again after over a decade. It's a pity the Lion of the jungle felt like taking a long nap during our 2 hour stay! Its a nice place for little ones.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo wait
If you're wanting to get out with the kids for a day, don't want to deal with crowds or road trips to Toronto then this is a great option! While the zoo isn't at the scale of others it is very well kept, staff is friendly, there is enough variety of animals to keep kids entertained and plenty of picnic tables to pause for snacks... That you're allowed to bring with you, so long as you clean up after yourself. It's a hidden gem for me so will definitely be back on good weather days.
For a 20$ adult pass and 10$ kids this zoo offers a wide variety of animals. They have reasonably sized cages and they look well fed and taken care of. Good place to spend a day with kids and family
This place is a gem! They have a surprising amount of animals - for being just outside of a small, obscure, Canadian town. We are part of a homeschool group that meets there on Fridays and so far, it has been great minus the yellow jackets. We met one of the owners and heard all about how they adopted a baby kangaroo whose mother wouldn't let it back into the pouch and they were integrating it back into the mob. We saw their permaculture garden - which is huge! The zookeepers stop by and tell us about animals, answering any questions the kids might have! Our experience here has been great, wish I'd come to the Twin Valley Nature Park sooner!
I love this beautiful zoo. There is something so magical about it. The animals seem so happy, curious, active, and engaging; the grounds are so pretty and clean, and the staff is so kind and welcoming. The positive energy and love poured in by the keepers radiates throughout this place. You need to go and experience it for yourself. Thank you for making this place exist. Please keep doing what your staff is doing
