Friendly and helpful staff. I sold some cards and they have Magic the gathering "chaos draft" Friday night at 6pm that I enjoy as a beginner to the game, also fun for experienced players like my buddy.
Steamship is a shell of its former self. The pictures and listing shown are very out of date. They no longer have hand crafted coffee drinks. They have also eliminated about 95% of the games they used to keep in stock. It's basically TCGs, card game supplies, and a small smattering of intro hobby board games. I'm sad to see how it's gone downhill, as this used to be one of my go-to stops in Lyn-Lake. Unfortunately, I'll likely never go back.
Was told to bring my card collection here i guess i didn't look the part buddy took my cards twisted em in his hand said something and dropped em said they weren't interested never looked me in the eye once but i give em 5 stars i told my friend they should go in cause they'd definitely fit in and this guy made me right don't trip if i ever came back it would only be as a hazard good thing I'm no comedian
Easily one of the best coffee shops in the area. The atmosphere is super chill and unique since it's attached to a board game shop, but because of that they have games you can play while drinking your coffee! The barista is the friendliest guy you'll ever meet, and goes out of his way to customize your drinks to something you will like. I've never had something here I don't like, but the cafe latte is probably my favorite.
It's advertised as a game shop/café that serves elevated coffee drinks. There is a selection of maybe 4 coffees there and they are all canned ones in a little fridge. The pictures shown here are completely outdated. The coffee bar doesn't even exist anymore. There are no board games. It's just a magic store with game tables in it.
Mostly mainstream tcg focused. Has great community and friendly owners at prices the lowest ive seen around for packs and decks.
Pretty small but got some nice cards I haven't seen at other shops.
Pretty cool unique small shop. Kinda set up like a coffee shop. Had Pokemon singles. Nice cards too had first edition holos and gold stars. Great prices too.
Can’t say enough good about this store, mostly come for magic related things but I see the other game communities here as well. Great helpful stage, fair prices and usually more stock than a lot of other stores in the area. Monday night commander is also always popping!
Awesome cozy coffee shop in the Lyn-Lake area of Mpls. Owner is super friendly and takes pride in his cafe plus a niche gaming experience cafe. Menu of drinks are amazing and coffee exceptional. A great asset to the neighborhood. Come and enjoy Steamship Coffee & Games. Support Local !!!!
