Great burgers, fries, rings and poutine! One of the best burger places we have been in Whitby. Ordered for take out and brought home. Everyone enjoyed their food and we’ll be back!

We decided to try out this older place that we haven't tried before. The staff was super friendly and helpful, the place was clean, tidy and well lit. They even had a star on the ceiling see pictures. The place was busy and a steady stream of customers but still seating was available. The food and drinks were fantastic, they even catered to children. See pictures!!

I just really like this place. Every time my family drives into town, this is their first preference for food. If it's your first time here, I highly recommend the star burger. It tastes great when you load it up with all the toppings. The fries, sweet potato fries and onion rings are equally delicious. You'll will need to make a few rounds to try everything they have on their menu. I was also informed the business appears to be local. Always good to support local businesses in your community.

It was fine. The 4 oz patty is very thin; perhaps everyone else who is raving got the 8 oz. The poutine was large and adequate. Onion rings were burnt and inedibleFood: 2/5

Haven’t been here in years…….I now see why. The owner was working and even had a good number of helpers in there. The dining room was a absolute disaster, no clean tables, no clean seats, no ketchup or serviettes, and mixed up the toppings between burgers on my order. My order to stay was packed up in a bag and sat on the counter waiting on drinks while numerous workers stood without anything to do. Sorry Starr burger but we won’t be back.

Have been a regular since 2017. Delicious home burgers and even the veggie burger is great! Love that they offer Kawartha Dairy ice cream in there. Customer service also contributes to their successful business.

I didn't know they closed at 8 p.m. on weekdays, but I was still served with no complaints or negativity. The Chicken Parmesan was truly far better than I'd expected: fresh, filling, tender genuine chicken not a chicken burger clone! , cheesy and saucy! Service was quick and friendly too.

I have been dining here for years with my significant other, dating way back to when they were more 1950s-themed, with old film projectors on the counters where the booths used to be. Despite the fact that prices have risen everywhere lately, I will still dine here just as regularly. Their poutines are HUGE, the burgers are absolutely delicious, the fries on their own are always hot and yummy. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. Decor is average, but let's face it, you're not coming here to stare at the walls--it's the food that's a marvel. Yes, they do take a while to make your meal, but that's the price of quality. If you want something worthwhile, you'll wait, otherwise go to a drive-thru. The only downside is that they took the Polish sausage off the menu, and that was a favourite of mine and, I'm sure, of others. Wishing them continued success, always! Cheers!

Starr burger is one of my favorite burger joints. Great retro style diner atmosphere. Reliably delicious. Ive had most items on their menu and it's all delicious. Sometimes the food takes a while ..but it's well worth the wait. The milk shakes are to die for. Even their salads can be customized.
