I went shopping at the Start Fruit company store. The last. Nathaniel was extremely pleasant and helpful.nShe gave me a trick for the device that I bought.nI found in the store all the products that they manufacture. All seemed very exclusive and of good quality.nI promised myself to go do my shopping at this location for future purchases I should require.
I thought The Rock products were good and per experiences from family members, their customer service was supposed to be great. That was not the case as we got a frying pan for Christmas last year and as soon as we started using it, it started chipping at the bottom and it only got worse. We always hand washed this pan and never stacked it. The bottom was also kind of crooked and wasn’t even - we obviously got a defective pan. I contacted customer service but absolutely needed a proof of purchase for a replacement. Will never buy any product from The Rock ever again, ESPECIALLY as a gift.nnEdit to respond to Starfrit: I absolutely do understand that!! But if you’re going to advertise great warranty, you should perhaps include an identification code in your product to at least know the date it was fabricated. Who keeps receipts these days? Let alone for 3 years!!!
I accidentally placed a double order for an item and quickly sent an e-mail explaining the situation and asking for the first order to be cancelled.nnThey cancelled the order and are now charging me a $7.50 “restocking fee” which is ridiculous. I placed the order on a Sunday night and sent the email within the hour, both orders had not shipped which they confirmed and they are still adamant on charging me the $7.50 fee. The item didn’t even leave stock! How are you charging me a $7.50 restocking fee?nnAS A REPLY TO THE BELOW: Offices not being opened on weekends when my order was placed is all the more reason to not fulfill the order and just refund the double charge. Also, if what you’re saying is true then all other businesses are just eating a $7.50 loss on all products they accept returns for? If that were the case I’m sure Costco would be out of business instead of thriving. When you can’t even refund a double charge without giving the customer grief, businesses like Starfrit is what makes it so hard to try and support a local Canadian business.
I love this place . It's the store I've been going to for more than 10years . Buy direct from the manufacturer and save tons. You won't be disappointed .
Update: They delete bad reviews on their website so feedback is skewed.nnThe product was just ok then it blew up. Since then I have been given the run around for over a month. Send pictures, give us this information now send the skillet. Took 6 months to get a resolution.
