Starbucks

I’ve always loved Starbucks, especially the Pink Drink, but lately this location has been disappointing. My Pink Drinks have been separating really quickly, which hasn’t happened at other Starbucks I’ve been to usually they stay mixed much longer. It’s made me enjoy them less, which sucks because they used to be my go-to. On top of that, I was there today and the drive-through experience wasn’t great. The employee was technically polite, but it felt very forced. When I asked for napkins, she handed them to me partially crumpled in her hand, and when I asked for a straw, once again, the employee was technically polite, but still felt super forced. I used to really love coming here, but between the drink quality and the service, it hasn’t been the same lately. Hoping this improves.

This Starbucks is always packed and noisy. However, the staff is very well trained and friendly and do everything they can to get customers served efficiently. I don’t mobile order here unless I know I have 10 or so minutes to wait, as the drive thru is also consistently busy. I would not go here for the “cafe experience”, but to grab your treats and go it is conveniently located. Again, the staff are the highlight of this location!

This Starbucks is a regular stop of mine when attending appointments in Oakville. Overall, it is an efficient café with generous inside seating and some outside seating. The busyness of the location often makes it difficult to find seating and because it is such an open concept café it often is extremely loud.nnVisiting this week, I was hoping to be able to sit outside, but due to lack of shade, and the patio location essentially in a parking lot, the heat was too extreme. Inside the café was very crowded but, due to the activity it certainly is a good place for a coffee and a chat without worrying about disturbing others.nnOn this visit, I ordered a decaf Americano in my attempt to decrease my excessive caffeine intake. I am always on the lookout for a good decaffeinated espresso, beverage, and Starbucks usually delivers. On this occasion, the drink was made exactly to my specifications and, for a decaffeinated drink, was very satisfying.nnI aim to frequent locally owned coffee shops and so I would not recommend this cafe as a destination. However, if you are getting together with a larger group of people and or, are on the way somewhere and need a quick refueling, this stop is not a bad choice.

I think a lot of people have nothing but complaints all the time, they want everything at the drop of a hat however the Dorval location does its best to meet customer demands while being horribly understaffed. Usually only about 2 baristas on site and one cashier. For the amount of people they serve they are doing a great job and deserve recognition. Yes the wait can sometimes be a bit long and do not meet the instant gratification standard of 2025, however all in all my drinks are all ways great, made correct, and staff and friendly even when stressed.

I stop by this Starbucks all the time with my dogs, and the staff is always so wonderful and friendly! Service is quick, efficient, and consistently great. Always have a good experience here. One of my favorite Starbucks locations!
