Starbucks - Compass at SFU

Drove up the mountain to get a tea before it closed at 8pm. Arrived at 7:38pm. Employees were behind the bar and two customers were inside. The doors were locked. An employee came to tell me that they’re closed. I asked why they were closed before 8pm and he didn’t really have an answer. I asked if I could get a tea and he said no, the espresso machines are turned off. My friend pointed out that you don’t need an espresso machine for a tea, but he said no again and then went on to tell me that “all coffee shops on the mountain are closed now.” ‍

I was served by the sweetest employee this morning, she went above and beyond and made my day! I can’t imagine working at the busiest spot on campus and dealing with stressed students & faculty everyday. These folks are doing a great job

Simple order and you get your order faster. lol. Got mine in less than a minute. I get their teas now as their coffee is a hit and miss. Sometimes their coffee Original Pike Blend tastes sour or it can have a weird after taste. Ask for their tea menu and they will pass you a hand out for their wider selection of teas and it is not listed on the big menu. My go to teas are Emperor?/Empress? Cloud E-Cloud, and English breakfast. I discovered about their E-Cloud and reminds of me the east asian teas I drink. I'm glad they showed me the tea menu. Otherwise, I have have to stick with my boring Starbucks-go-to English Breakfast. I look forward to trying the other teas. lol Wheelchair accessibility: Button to open the door.

Hi, I'm a student of SFU, and I would like to file a complaint about a staff of yours: Taka, who had really improper behavior and language during two of my recent visits. So, the first visit was about two weeks ago, I was ordering a Mocha Frappuccino and asked him if I could have Coconut milk instead of the original milk I have allergy stuff. He was really impatient and refused my order request, stating that it's not okay to have coconut milk with a really rude tone eventually I left without ordering anything. The second visit is on Aug 4, it's still him on the shift. I asked if I could get a cup of iced water, he first mimicked me speaking English; the tone was really unfriendly and sarcastic. And he throws the water really hard at me while he has absolutely no reason to have such aggressive action. Every customer in the room was shocked, I was shocked, I had never experienced such an unrespectful and even racist thing in my whole life and it is also uncomprehensible to have this kind of incident happening on campus. I probably would take this up to the university and perhaps, if you have access, the camera footage could justify my statement. Thank you.

Slow service, gets my order wrong almost without fail, also wildly overcharged. Also, update your hours. Online it says open till 10pm when really you’re closed at 8pm.

They’re always closed whenever i go there. It says they close at 10pm and when i arrived at 7:30 they said they close at 7.. last time i was there they said they close at 8 so i arrived 30mins before that.. but again they were closed

My gf had a bad headache cuz the staff mistakenly added sugar/syrup when said no sugar/syrup. Could do better

Fast customer service! Could get pretty packed if u wanna study there. Also a great location on campus!

very very slow....lost my order and then employees chatting very happy... i told them lost the orderthey still let me wait another 10 mins...
