Stage Stars Dance and Acro has truly impressed me with not only the amazing dancers, but more importantly the teamwork, dedication and camaraderie among the staff, dancers and parents. During the Spring 2022 Recital our first, I witnessed dancers smiling at each other in such a caring and fun way while dancing on stage together. You could just see how much they cared for each other and enjoyed one another. I witnessed such kindness of the older dancers towards the younger dancers, especially my daughter who is 4. I loved what all of the dancers said during the finale: “great job self”. You can really see the self love that is being fostered in these dancers from early on. This is the kind of environment and people that I want my daughter to surround herself with. I know she will love herself, love others, grow confidence and dance to her best ability. We’ve only been a part of Stage Stars dance since January, but I am very impressed with what I have experienced. I look forward to more!
We started dance mid-way through the year and Angie the director was so helpful in getting us registered and in helping me order the correct sizes for her uniform requirements. My daughter has loved dance!! She looked forward to her class each week and loved every minute when she was there. The recital is so well organized and parents are well informed. Her first recital was fun to watch and she loved every second of being on the stage. We are looking forward to dancing again in the fall.
Coming from someone who has danced at numerous studios throughout her life, I can honestly say that Stage Stars Dance and Acro embodies everything you could ever want from a dance studio - passion, professionalism, organization and inclusion. It is quite apparent that Angie Craft pours her heart and soul into the studio and all who dance there. I am so impressed with her dedication to technique and commitment to cutting-edge choreography. Not to mention, the organization she brings to each performance and the daily operation of the studio is top notch. I am thrilled that my daughter is learning, growing, and making lifelong memories in such a wonderfully supportive community.
My granddaughter has been dancing since 2018 and I have enjoyed each and every recital! Angie has done everything possible to ensure that each show is a great experience for the dancers, families and audience, adapting magnificently during Covid. It is such a joy to watch each of the dancers as they grow. Angie takes the time to ensure that the dancers learn what is expected of them on and off the dance floor. The mentoring they receive from all the teachers and older dancers will serve them well in the future.
Our family loves the program, the teachers, the dancers and the Director Angie Craft. We have been part of Stage Stars Dance & Acro previously called HAC School of Dance for 5 years and it has been an amazing experience! The values, principles and the atmosphere that Angie creates among the girls are positive, supportive and inclusive. The smile on my daughter’s face when she gets home and the friendships she has made over the years are priceless. We could not be happier with her growth as a dancer and as a person. In the studio at the HAC I know she is safe, protected, valued, challenged and celebrated.
I highly recommend Stage Stars Dance and Acro if you are just beginning dance, a teen looking to perfect technique, or an adult interested in a tap class. We initially enrolled our daughters because it is located in the Hockessin Athletic Club although you do not have to be a member of the club to dance, and the safety and convenience were key another child can be in the daycare/playground, we can order dinner at the cafe, I can work out during dance. Now it has turned into a second family where our daughters are loved and respected in a way that truly encourages their love of dance. Try a summer camp week as a trial!
I can’t recommend Stage Stars Dance and Acro enough!! My daughter just finished her 9th season dancing here. The teachers, classes, choreography & director are top notch. During our time here so far my daughter has learned so much more than the dance basics. She’s learned how to be a true friend, how to empathize, be a good teammate & teacher. She’s studied every genre of dance and her technique, musicality & stage presence have grown by leaps and bounds over the years. The program is run like a well oiled machine with Angela Craft at the helm.
If you are looking for a place for your child to dance, look no further. My daughter has been dancing at SSDA since she was 5 and the growth we have seen in her is amazing! Your child will learn so much more than dance at SSDA. Angie Craft and all the teachers take each child under their wings and instill confidence, respect and passion for dance in a safe and loving environment, along with teaching them amazing technique in all genres! You should come and try a class for yourself!
We love this dance program! My 7-year-old daughter has been dancing there since she was 3 and has learned so much more than dance over the last 4+ years. The instructors are all wonderful, their technique instruction and choreography are top notch, and they are consistently attentive, encouraging and patient with the dancers. The studio director, Ms. Angie, is also wonderful. She is kind, generous, responsive, and handles things with creativity, honesty and grace. She does a great job of teaching the dancers to work hard, be kind, include and respect others, and support each other, all while having fun. It’s also a plus that Stage Stars’ studio is conveniently located at the Hockessin Athletic Club. Even though HAC membership is not necessary to participate in dance classes, it’s really nice to have the club amenities available there while the kids are in their classes.
I can’t recommend SSDA enough. My daughter has been dancing there since she was 6. She is 10 now Her growth is impressive, not only as a dancer but as a little human as well. Angie, the studio director, and the teachers foster a very healthy and fun environment, where the girls are supportive of each other and every dancer is celebrated for their achievements and hard work. Look no further!
