St Vincent de Paul Kenosha Thrift Store

They used to have better prices, and were cleaner. The last two times I was there, it smelled like urine. I think some used clothing or plush toy needed to be cleaned or tossed. So many chipped or incomplete items were being sold for the same price Target had them for, that I decided to stop looking and leave. If I'm buying something used, that I know was donated, I don't want to pay full price or higher for it. And I definately won't buy something that smells like an uncleanef gas station rest room.

I can't say enough how wonderful the employees are here! These items are always displayed wonderfully, everything is clean! The variety is exceptional!! We sometimes buy a cartfull and sometimes one special something! I have purchased my pots and pans here, my dishes, my coffee mugs, toiletries, rugs, lamps, etc. We have decorated our home and we were able to do it on a limited budget with ease! We also donate items right back, we purchase DVDs, watch them and donate them back for someone else to enjoy, same with books!! We really enjoy our visits there, as we "treasure hunt" and look forward to seeing all the employees, they treat us like old friends!! Great place!!!

The day many parts of Kenosha flooded, I walk into this store...furniture is moved and clumped together by front door, fans blowing on floor, a worker going around the store sucking up water with a machine. One would assume that their store was flooded too. So when I asked if they were flooded I was confused when the worker paused before they said "no". As I walked around the store I started sliding a bit as all their new flooring was very slippery. I took my flip flop off and sure enough, the floors were completely wet...everywhere I walked. I asked the manager as well and he said that they did not take in any water. It was upsetting...no one likes being lied to. What are they trying to hide? Perhaps a whole warehouse of things that were possibly damaged that they are going to turn around and try to sell, even tho it should be thrown away? People be warned. Something smells fishy here. Looks like a coverup. To add to my experience, looking around and seeing their prices...their prices are extremely high and unreasonable! This store has gone down hill since they moved to this building. And the prices keep getting more and more rediculous! Sadly, gone are the days that you can go to St. Vinny's not only for reasonably priced necessities, but for sweet conversations with a staff that was like family...STAFF FROM 14TH STREET...YOU ARE DEARLY MISSED!!

Id give this place a zero if I could i feel violated and i was targeted and some lady working their tried to acuse me of stealing, she even followed me outside just to take my plate number when i confronted they said a customer saw me put something in my pocket yea its called my phone and keys and i wasnt even in their long before they started stalking me and following, they basically saw me walk in and assumed i was a theif, their prices on media are overpriced, some even wrongly priced and when you go to ask the cashier what they are most of them are rude and are on their phones, terrible never going back, how are you going to accuse me of stealing? I'm was a very frequent costumer I have never stolen in my life how dare you target me and try to treat me like some petty crook, I go to pawnshops,and just about any thrift store I am known by all of them to be a friendly valued costumer and a frequent visitor, I'm so disgusted with this place DO NOT GO HERE IT IS NOT WORTH YOUR TIME OR MONEY !!!
