I don't feel like they deserve even one star...Went to the ER room thinking we were in a very serious situation. Spent about 2 hours in the ER with blood work done. The assigned Physician visited my room twice for about 30 seconds each. I had an IV bag hooked up to me as well. The only good thing about my stay was one of the nurses was actually really kind and explained everything to me. During the second visit by the physician, they recommended that I stay in the hospital overnight to have a scope done the next day. I got a copy of my CT scan and showed it to another doctor who thought nothing was wrong. I feel like the first Physician was just trying to get me to stay at the hospital just for more money. He didn't really seem to care at all and talked to me with urgency when nothing was really wrong with my body. Now, I have a $1,400 bill from the hospital for false practice by the physician and the hospital thinking I was in severe emergency/life-threatening condition when nothing was really wrong with me.... I will never ever recommend St. Luke's period. My reply to St.Luke's reply, Thank you for responding. However, I still feel like I'm being wrongfully charged for the service I received. I called your Billing Services Department and they were not direct with why my charges were the way they were. Please provide clients with exact charge breakdowns in itemized costs. I think that would be the best place to start. Thanks!
At first I wanted to leave a horrible review on how staff treated friends/family of a patient who was not doing good at all, but the patients husband told us admissions were just “taking orders” from higher up. I hope management from admissions sees this message, you need to learn sympathy and have compassion for family/friends of patients and I pray nobody treats you the way you treated family members who went to spend final moments with a patient there. They did not need all the extra stress you guys were putting on them by threatening them with security and treating them badly. Communication is key, realize we do not all have the same Covid restrictions you guys have there. Shame on you all, nobody was there by choice.
I had great doctors and nurses an any interaction between the hospital was right on! Of course there are always a few that can upset you, but overall outstanding !!! That is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5! The Cancer Center was wonderful, and caring! Was there for me in their care both at the hospital and at home!!
I had a friend in there today having surgery. Her Dad and I were in the surgery waiting room. Her surgery lasted about 4 hours. When it was over, the Dr. called her Dad and told him that it went well and she would be in recovery for about an hour and they would let him know what room they would put her in. Four hours later he was still waiting to hear from someone! Everyone in the waiting room was gone and everything locked up. So he went to the entrance and asked if they knew where she would be. Very worried at this point. They told him what room she was in. The communication was terrible. The lady at the front desk in the surgery waiting room came back several times and saw us waiting there for 6 hours. He had been there 12 hours from the time he took her over to the hospital for this procedure. Absolutely uncalled for!!!
They will not tell you about your loved one. They kick you out. You can not stay to make sure all is good. I had to spend the night in my car at -10 degrees outside. I can not afford to drive 90 miles back home. Then come back in the morning. Really no heart here!! Do not go to them!!
WOULD RATHER DIE THAN GO HERE. Apparently they don’t understand what the word emergency means. Made my gf and her very sick little girl wait almost three hours to be seen for an appt that ended up taking 15 minutes. Don’t know what took so long but apparently they just don’t care. This is the impression I’ve gotten from every interaction with the St. Luke’s system. They need to shape up or get out. I know a guy who lost a leg because their surgeon was really bad.
They couldn't get my prescriptions while staying in the hospital for a compound fracture. After being put in a room up stairs they messed up on my meds, made me wait an extra hour for pain medication while in sever pain, gave me a blood thinner when I'm going into surgery in 7hrs. These people have no clue of what they are doing
My son had had pneumonia and waited a long time before he came into the hospital. And was critical and they saved his life. The doctors and all the nurses where excellent.
Shout out to the workers at St. Luke's!!! My Father, a long-haul truck driver from Canada had a major heart attack and has been extremely well taken care of. Super accommodating and apparently the food isn't too bad Thank you to all those who helped my Father in his recovery. It means the world to me.
Any time I've ever been here it's been a good place to go. Anytime my wife has been admitted I've never had problems staying till we were finished. We even had our son here who spent 2 days in the NICU and the staff has always been amazing and very helpful. The food there is really good on a side note.
