St Albert Botanic Park

About

Let the Garden inspire your Life.

Story

No dogs allowed in the Park.

Stretched along the meandering banks of the Sturgeon River in the City of St Albert lies a public garden in progress. Entirely designed, planted, and maintained by residents in the community, the St Albert Botanic Park is an example of the power and determination of volunteers.

The garden is located at 265 Sturgeon Road, one kilometer east of Boudreau Road. It is surrounded by the Red Willow Park and riverside trail system that winds through the City.

Visit our Gift Shop which offers garden-inspired treasures - giftware, tableware, metal work, handmade jewelry, and home and garden decor.

Come see why some 15 000 to 20 000 visitors visited St Albert Botanic Park last year.

It’s a great place for nature lovers, photography , or anyone looking to spend some quiet time outdoors. love the cute little gift shop
It was the end of the season but still a very nice facility. You can see the hard work just by looking at how well the beds have been weeded. It looks very well maintained. The different types of flowers and trees are numerous. It looks like a great place to take wedding photos. There is also a very nice Gazebo. I find that the whole city is always looking Prim, trimed & proper! I am from Edmonton & we have decided to go with the more natural look!!nWay to go St. Alberta! No charge $
We stumbled upon the botanical gardens by accident during a spontaneous drive to St. Albert from Edmonton. What a find! It has been quite hot lately and it's near the end of the year so I imagine everything would be even brighter during the earlier months, but as it was the gardens were absolutely lovely to walk through and quite a gem to find! We will most definitely be back. We are seniors so we really appreciated the multiple benches dotted throughout the garden so we could sit and rest up, and having all the plants named was a big bonus as well too. Apparently the gazebo is a recent feature. And it looks like there may be more additions coming in the future. Highly recommend this lovely visual and fragrant walk in St Albert!nPS: The free parking was much appreciated as well, and the gift shop was charming!
Beautiful garden with a great variety of plants. It is a great place for a stroll in the afternoon. Knowing that it is maintained by volunteers gives it a whole new meaning as you come to appreciate the special contribution of each individual gardener volunteer.
Such a beautiful botanic park — perfect for photos! Just a heads-up, pets aren’t allowed
