I visited Sporting Life Burlington last weekend to purchase winter gear, and since I was shopping without my child present, I was texting to sort out style preferences and trying to guess sizing. Jasper came to my rescue!nnHe was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the different brands, how they fit, and what would work best warmth-wise. Even though I know my child’s usual size, each brand fits differently, and Jasper knew exactly what to recommend. He also took the time to explain the technology behind the coats, including how some lightweight jackets can be just as warm as the big puffy ones. We ended up choosing a coat I never would have picked on my own because it didn’t look warm enough, and it turned out to be perfect. His recommendations were spot on.nnEverything we purchased fits perfectly and looks great. Jasper made what could have been a stressful shopping trip surprisingly easy. He was kind, patient, and truly knew his stuff. I appreciated his help so much.nnThank you, Jasper. Sporting Life Burlington is lucky to have you.
Absolutely unacceptable behaviornnMy wife and I had a terrible experience at this store while browsing the tennis and bike sections. From the moment we walked in, we were blatantly profiled and followed by not only security but four separate staff members. We weren’t acting suspiciously in any way — just shopping like any other customers — yet we were made to feel unwelcome and watched the entire time.nnIt was uncomfortable, humiliating, and completely unnecessary. We ended up leaving without making a purchase because of how we were treated. No one should have to feel like a suspect just for walking into a store. Do better.
I had a really good experience at this Sporting Life location. Quinn was very helpful assisting me get my bindings mounted on my skis from my online order. They were very busy but still able to get it done for me within a short period of time knowing I came from out of town. I also want to thank the technician who was also very helpful. I would definitely recommend this location.
Jake of the hard goods department was a tremendous help with finding a good fit for ski helmets and goggles. He helped make deep adjustments to the helmet that a customer would be afraid to make. He gave us good fit test procedures and gave us a tip for matching a goggle to a helmet. He was very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly all around and made the visit very pleasant.
Noah in footwear was FANTASTIC! He was very knowledgeable in that department and was able to effectively answer all the questions I had for him. Noah was quick and efficient with finding the correct styles in the back, even with dealing with multiple customers at once. He even gave recommendations on other styles of the same brand and offered his feedback on them. He is a great example of excellent customer service. In addition, Becca, the manager, was very sweet and kind and also provided first-class assistance and service. Well done, Sporting Life Mapleview! Can’t wait to come back.
