I’m not one to write bad reviews. I came in with 2 of my friends, one of them looking for some running shoes. We walked in and passed by many staff members 5 or so. 3 in a group having a very loud conversation not helping anyone, 1 on her phone not helping anyone . We were seated on the benches while my friend was trying the shoes. The 5th staff member walks up to us we were pleased as we thought someone was going to assist us! he didn’t, he told me to stand up so he could get the stuff that was sitting there on the bench. We approached the cash section and 2 other employees were chatting and didn’t say a word. We saw staff members helping other customers which is great! just not us, not sure why that is. I’m not sure if this a self serve store, if so next time I know at least.
I recently visited the Decathlon store in Mapleview Mall and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. As someone who has managed a retail store before, I was shocked by the lack of attention and customer service at this location.nnUpon entering the store, I was in need of assistance but found myself completely ignored by multiple staff members. I passed by at least 7 employees who made eye contact with me but chose to walk away without offering any help. One staff member was even caught texting on their phone instead of attending to customers. This lack of engagement and basic courtesy is unacceptable in any retail environment.nnFrom a standpoint of loss prevention, I was appalled to see that all the products were left unattended on the floor. This not only poses a security risk but also indicates a lack of concern for inventory management. Engaging with customers not only helps in providing better service but also acts as a deterrent for potential theft. If I had not been vigilant in checking my purchases, I could have easily ended up with mismatched shoes, leading to an even bigger inventory problem for the store.nnI hate to leave a negative review, but it is clear that some serious retraining is needed at this Decathlon location. Customer service and attentiveness should be top priorities for any retail establishment, and it is disappointing to see such a lack of professionalism. I hope that management takes this feedback seriously and implements the necessary changes to improve the overall shopping experience for customers.
I bought a lot of stuff but I have to pay $2 extra for a bag. I would imagine customers deserve a bag to carry the stuff they bought from your store. Talk about being greedy.
Cashier supervisor has no customer service.nWhen I try to learn more about the return policy at the cashier, being told the product has to be kept in retail condition in order to be qualified for return. The product I purchased has a paper board surrounded and it is secured by a tape, it is extremely hard to keep it in original condition if I need to try it out. I explained that I understand the policy, but it does not make sense in my case. One of the cashier shows sympathy. But the other supervisor look cashier simply put on a dirty look and reply “well that’s the policy”. If the policy does not make sense, then maybe the policy should be flexible when it is absolutely infeasible for customer to follow
This is going to be my go to place for anything includes sports!nThey literally had me leaving with almost $400 with almost 10 things! I initially came in with the intention to buy one thing I came out with a handful of stuff! For two reasons.nTheir prices are unmatchable and amazing. I hope it remains like thatnThey have literally EVERYTHING you can imagine.nnWill definitely go back
