Sport Yukon

About

Sport Yukon is a non-profit society run by a volunteer board of directors. Its member organizations are territorial sport governing bodies, clubs and associations who offer a variety of sport, recreation and other community based programs.

Mission

Sport Yukon endeavors to:

provide effective communication with and among appropriate levels of government, sport governing bodies, other members and others as appropriate (by being informed and using a variety of methods to disseminate and present appropriate information).
provide effective leadership of and guidance to our members and others as appropriate
(by being available, listening, being concerned for the well being of our members and by stepping forward to be the voice for sport).
provide services to our members (by identifying desired services and by acquiring and effectively managing funds and other resources to provide these services).
identify and deliver appropriate programs for the benefit of our members and others (by offering seminars, workshops, awards/recognition and other programs and managing the Yukon Sports Hall of Fame).
manage Team Yukon for the Government of Yukon and for the benefit of the participants (by contracting to manage Team Yukon at Arctic Winter Games, Canada Games, other games).
be responsive to the changing needs of the sport community in the Yukon.
