Not a very hand on type of guy I am, I often lost to what I really need for the projects I didn’t know where to start.nThe staff behind the paint counter was pretty helpful explaining different types of paints and brushes and tools.nnIn general, they are pretty helpful.nnLove their art collections.
Another pointless visit to a store in Whitehorse. Tried here once earlier in the week and was asked by someone if they could help me. I said sure and explained what I wanted - and then had them simply walk away and go stand next to another, busy employee, clearly looking for guidance. I just walked away myself and left. 2nd visit I actually did get to talk to someone about a purchase, who claimed to be knowledgeable, and heard nothing but “I don’t know, I don’t know, I don’t know - but you can purchase it at the front”. Why do brick and mortar stores even exist anymore? Amazon is so much easier, cheaper, and you don’t have to deal with staff like that. There’s no extra benefit to go to the store and try to get the value of their expertise because nobody has any.
I do a lot of garden projects with rebar. I need them cut into smaller pieces. Great and friendly customer service all around every time but I got to do a bit of a rant: For the third year in a row a worker got hurt trying to cut the rebar with a dull tool. When asking I am told that the safety issue with the dull tool was brought up to the employer a few times now but nothing was done. You can do better Home Hardware! Treat your staff with respect and care and give them proper tools!!
Dropped by this morning to purchase a leaf blower, asked the rep in the department what my options are, pretty much bit my head off. Went over to Canadian tire and spent $600. The guy needs to take some customer service lessons from Frank in lumber.
Very helpful staff. Couldn't find a door lock part I needed, so they suggested a locksmith close to them who might help. I like when businesses work together. Well done!
