The store is nice and has good deals, but when my wife and I went to go buy shoes, we waited for 20m for someone to help us. We noticed there were 4 associates just in the back doors laughing and talking so we grabbed the shoes and went to the front and then finally someone came out. Asked for help with shoes and had to get another girl who was designated to the section to stop her conversation to help us. The staff needs to be more mindful of customers. Also floor was dirty and could have spent the time sweeping instead.
The manager of this store, who is a complete and utter hag I might add, needs an attitude adjustment. "Customer Service Representative". That's the role she is supposed to play, it's in the name for crying out loud. Tried to offer feedback, on her bone-idle, lazy staff. To which she responded in the most unprofessional manner. With "leadership" like that, how can anyone expect anything other than failure from the staff? For context, I went to the South Centre location, where the staff, albeit admitting to not being trained properly, did everything they could to be helpful. 5/5 all the way for them. They called the 130th location, who said they didn't have the item in the size I wanted. Of course they said this within twenty seconds, which indicates that they simply looked on the computer, rather than walking twenty paces to the shelf. South Centre said it was showing as in stock, so I drove over there to find an abundance of the jacket I wanted. Upon speaking to the manager, to provide general feedback. I was greeted by the definition of a "Karen". I realize the irony here after asking to speak to the manager. Someone who doesn't care about customer feedback. Had this nasty woman not chosen to be so defensive, I'd have had the chance to deliver my constructive criticism in a more polite manner. Sadly I could read the bias and discrimination on this managers face the second I started speaking. I'd avoid this location all costs. I'd rather drive anywhere else in the city than go back here and deal with this person.
This store especially the cashiers are always super awesome to deal with. I was in this week and was helped by cashier Anna. She was fantastic. I needed some help with price adjustments. She was so kind, patient and was really good at her job and was able to help with what I needed. She also made sure the other customers were helped, when a bit of a line formed behind me and got back up right away. The other girl that joined her was also really great with customers. I didn't get her name.
Sport Check on 130th in Calgary. A bike on display had only one price marked. In front of a big sign that advertises 30% off. Staff informed us the price shown already had the discount. I asked why the original price of the bike isn't shown, and was informed that that is Sport Check pricing policy. But... Every other bike in the line had two price tags. One before discount and one after. I was very disappointed that staff dismissed my question. Why every other bike was discounted, but the one my son wanted was 'already discounted'. It seems dishonest to put up signs saying take 30% off GT bikes.... Except this one model. It's still this price.
Very bad experience Today as the sales people doesn't know anything. Came to pickup an online order from NE after calling and confirming with the store they have a piece I can pick up. I came to the the store to know that I can't pick up my order. They sales people completely responsible for making me drive such a long distance for no reason totally disappointed at the store and the sales people.
This is my favorite store. Always with great deals and the staff is friendly and helpful
I wanted to adjust the price for bike. A store manager, Ryan told me that it is a company policy to not do price adjustment during boxing days. He said that people buy before boxing days then rush to adjust the price during boxing days. Like it is a crime. I went to another location and had no problem of adjusting the price. I even called online help to confirm it is not a crime. People like Ryan shouldn't manage the stores.
Great sales on top quality gear. Clarissa, Darren and Nguon were super helpful, friendly and obviously wanted the best for us rather than just to make a sale. Will come back for more gear and upgrades!
Called about a certain product. Was transferred to another department. After waiting 6 minutes on hold, no one picked up. Called back and let it ring approx. 20 times and then it just disconnected. I called back again with the same results as the second time I tried calling. I was looking at purchasing an expensive hush blanket but will now purchase it elsewhere. I don't always believe the review results on google and like to give the benefit to the business. I guess the 3.6 star review for this location is accurate.
MY HUSBAND WENT TO GET SKATES FOR OUR DAUGHTER THE SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE. THE STAFF MEMBERS DID NOT HAVE STOCK AND DID NOT WANT TO CALL AND CONFIRM THAT THERE WAS STOCK AT ANOTHER STORE .. THAN THE STAFF INSULTED MY HUSBAND BY STATING THEY HAD NOTHING IN HIS PRICE RANGE NOT even knowing how much we were willing to spend to get skates.
