Special

Tried them out for the first time and was very impressed. First thing I noticed was when parking that they had reserved spots for Purple Heart recipients. As a wounded Veteran that gets them big points. Once inside the atmosphere and staff were so friendly and nice, only to be outdone by the food. House made soups and desserts from scratch, a great selection of Americana comfort food and very reasonably priced. I don't usually order dessert but had to try a piece of the amazing looking pies. It was one off the best pieces of scratch made apple pie I have had. They are doing everything right here.

Every town needs a great local restaurant like "The Special". Homemade comfort food cooking at its best, with excellent blue plate specials every day, cakes/pies/cookies. They also have a great breakfast menu on the weekend. They have a kids menu as well. One bit of advice I would give any local restaurant catering to families is to include a drink with any kid's meal. I can't speak for everyone, but our kids automatically downgrade any place that does not include a drink. It's a small added cost for a soda drink, and it brings families back.

The services was a good as the food. Great portion size for the money and your server was amazing. Extremely friendly and helpful. Total small town feel with this place. I hope they stay in business for years.

The food was great. Service was So good but they were.out of the Cheesecakes! It was said.to be Soon Good! That made me sad ♡♡

First visit. Prices seemed good. We ordered pork tenderloin dinner and chicken fried chicken dinner. They were good, not great, but ok. Will go again and try their hamburgers next time.
