Sparta Greek Taverna

The food was good. I'll give them that. The salad came out in 10 minutes. One hour and 15 minutes later we're still waiting for our main course. She gave us the excuse that they have a lot of deliveries and she'd bring it out in 2 minutes. And it's 15 minutes later that I'm writing this review. I'm sorry that me dressing up to come sit in your restaurant is lower priority than someone who calls in and orders. Moved to 3 star because the server apologised and didn't charge us. Please treat in house customers first.

Been coming here for years. Roast lamb is excellent, pizza always good, steak was very good , lasagna and pastas also very good and large portions. Quick delivery, if you decide to eat in, friendly staff good service. Great place to have downtown Poco.

I've eaten here twice. First time I had Lamb Souvlaki, second time I tried the Beef Souvlaki. While the portions were fairly generous, I wasn't wowed by the flavour of either. However, the Greek Salad is fantastic. It is served with the dressing on the side, and it's the dressing that makes the salad great. Overall a good place for dinner. I will probably try another plate here in the future.

Started out fine & then the waitress decided to ignore us. We had our appetizer & then we waited & waited. Meanwhile my drink was empty including both waters & no service in sight. The restaurant was maybe half full. Finally 50 minutes later we still had not received our dinner, our waitress made an appearance & I asked about our dinner. She still did not ask if I wanted another drink. We asked to speak to the manager. The manager said our dinner would be right up while other people who came in after us were receiving their dinner. We still waited another 10 minutes & because my wife has a back injury, she can’t sit that long so we asked for our dinner to go. That took an additional 10 minutes & when we got home there was no pita bread & tzatziki with the Chicken Souvlaki. We will never be back.

Good food ice cold beer good service a little bit loud with children that aren't told by their parents to be a little bit more quiet so we always sit where there is no children
