Great value for the cost! We spent 3.5 hrs here and it flew by. The whole area is beautiful. We brought our own robes and towels to save a few $. As well snacks to enjoy after. Water shoes were nice to have but not necessary. Flip flops would do unless you want to jump around in the salt Marsh of the beach as it is Rocky in areas. If you want to go swimming in the ocean , time it with the tide per usual in the Bay of Fundy. A short 25 min drive from Saint John and we will be back again!
Rustic beauty and therapy, we loved it. The Nordic hydrotherapy type treatments were way more enjoyable than I thought they would be! I've never had such a relaxing night. And it seems like they're always trying to add new things. Awesome girls weekend getaway.
Start off with the good - the staff was friendly, the view was gorgeous, alcohol was allowed. I was incredibly underwhelmed and disappointed when we got there. Almost $50 to be able to go between a sauna and a hot bath. I have been to better spas with more options for almost half the price where towels, bathrobes and flip flops were provided as well snacks, water and tea or coffee. What kind of spa doesn’t provide towels and a bathrobes! Insanity! They said they had a steam room but it had quite the unpleasant smell to it, as did the entire change room area. I spend $50 to spend sitting in the tiniest sauna with a billion other people. Not worth it. Will never go back and not recommend it to others.
What a beautiful spot! And the people are wonderful. If you're looking for a relaxing day by yourself, or a great day with friends, this is the place to go. I spent time in the wood fired sauna, then took a dip in the bay. They also have a great bonfire.
Getting back to nature was great. Stunning views. However, the spa itself left a lot to be desired. I have been told that the owners of the spa are no longer actively involved. And it shows unfortunately. The whole thing could use a really good scrub down. Things are starting to wear, rust and are not being upkept well. A few changes here and there would’ve made a world of difference. And it would’ve been nice for the spa to offer towels and bath robes. We brought all our own food and drinks. I’ve been told in the past that food etc. was available. Even when we asked to have tea or coffee made we were told that the gentleman present he was a handyman and typically would not do that. He did his best. I think the young guys who are running the spot right now need a little more guidance and direction.
I attended this place for a bachelorette party. I plan on going alone some day. It was super relaxing. The staff is wonderful as well. The pool is heated and clean and it's next to a waterfall. $46 for the day, can't beat it!
Nice place - went to beach only. No spa
The views and the place itself are absolutely beautiful. However the treatment by the lady at the front desk was terrible. We came as a group of 8. Half the group came about 30 min before the other. The woman at the desk wouldn't sign them in because she wanted to give us a big talking to that took five minutes together. Why she didn't let the first group go ahead is beyond me. Then the big talk was the no drinking and food by pools which seems to change like the wind. I have been there several times and it is everything from wild party atmosphere to no drinking. She actaually told us how we should talk. One example was don't talk about Aunty's boil as others wouldn't want to hear it. Keep our voices down and just kept repeating how people should act . We were not a group of teenagers and the girls getting married don 't drink so i suspect she was jumping to conclusions. .I think we know how to conduct our own behaviour. I got what she was saying but she went way to far. Our group and 4 other people were there that i could see so it wasn't like she was so busy. When we asked about the bq she said well if there is any propane. Some complaint as to another staff left the propane running. It was a shame because from the looks of it our groups admission paid her wages for the day. The place itself is very nice. Stunning view and waterfalls by the main hottub was beautiful. The atmosphere was terrible.
Amazing spot!!! Bring like lots of towels at least 3 and water shoes!!!
Wow...this is a beautiful spot! I've been coming here for 3 years now, even began making it a tradition to attend the annual polar dip for new years. However, I'm afraid I will have to be relocating next year. This year something is different...and by something, I mean many things! Starting with the people who are organizing the event..every year, until this year, the fantastic people "behind the scenes" were making everyone feel welcome, interacting with everyone, and running everything with very smooth sails! Always always Always had a great time! This year the price not only increased but the service took a BIG hit! We asked when they were closing upon our arrival, they told us around 6, ok great! however sometime after 4 they had already put away, cleared out and cleaned everything in the cabana, including their bowls and rolls for chowder and chilliwhich we were informed was part of the reason for the price increases, the live music was long gone also a reason for the price increase, and there were still people arriving!? - these were things that were included in the price before the increase? And now they're charging more and cutting them off early?? They did not have the sauna stoking well and no eucalyptus in there, which was always such a nice treat. Even the hot pool was cooler than before-and it was not cooler outdoors. The "staff" aren't the same people and the atmosphere has greatly decreased. Given their price increase I would have expected more from the spa, definitely not less! I am truly disappointed in what I experienced in there today, things have really changed for the chance harbour spa </3
