Story

Everyone needs "their" place and if you live in Georgetown we hope that Southpaw will become yours. Located in Georgetown South's Miller Plaza, Southpaw is a place where you and your friends and family can hang out and enjoy a delicious meal or one of our expertly prepared coffees.

We believe that our cafe should reflect the duality of the place where we are and where are people are from.

Why Southpaw? It's a nod to our location and to the ten percent of people who are left handed, like me.

A writer's haven. While spinning my tales I've spent manys a day at cafés from Montreal, to Vancouver. This to me, offers the best atmosphere and food, at reasonable prices, with friendly service. Even the owner is as modest and sincere, in providing service, as is his staff. As for a suggested meal. Try the individual pizzas. Only $7 and large enough to fill your tummy while truly pleasing your palate. Be you a vegetarian, or a meat eater, there are combos that you can choose, then watch being hand-made right in front if you. No attempt to be precise about the appearance, but rather, making sure it tastes good when you eat it. Everything is kept clean here and the bathrooms are very comfortable to use. Seldom do I give a 5 star rating to anything. But this place is the closest to deserving it for any one who writes, or just wants to chill out alone/with a friend. No pressure to leave.

Always friendly and quick staff. Fresh banana bread slices at 6:30AM is just what you need some times.

Coffee was excellent. ....blueberry muffin very fresh and tasty.... great coffee shop to relax...off the beaten path, but worth the trip.

Recently had lunch at this awesome cafe while passing through Georgetown. Food was fantastic ... lots of choices on the menu. Service was very courteous and quick. The quiche was the best I've ever had. Almond milk latte was perfection. Can't wait to go back!
