Silvercreek Coffee House

I recently visited Silvercreek Coffee House in Georgetown, Ontario, and found it to be a mixed experience. The café boasts a cozy ambiance, making it an inviting spot to relax. Their menu offers a good selection of coffee and cakes, catering to various tastes.nnHowever, during my visit, I encountered a couple of disappointments. The service was somewhat lacking, with staff appearing inattentive, which detracted from the overall experience. Additionally, the carrot cake I ordered was notably dry, as if it had been sitting out for an extended period, possibly up to 3-4 days, or perhaps it was just overbaked.

I am taking off two stars because this place is always filthy. I’ve never been to a dirtier restaurant/ coffee shop. A closing cleaning protocol should involve disinfecting all surfaces and at the minimum vacuuming, but even when I’ve visited first thing after opening there are crumbs and pieces of food from the day likely days prior EVERYWHERE, including table tops, which makes me question the cleanliness behind the counter as well.

It's a bright spot on the map of Georgetown. Nice interior design, plenty of seating, delicious food, great cakes, friendly staff and clean washrooms. I was here during the Easter holidays when everything was closed, but this place was open and everything was absolutely great. The only thing I didn't like the taste of coffee there, otherwise it would be an absolutely perfect place.

Great coffee, freshest pastries I’ve had in a while. Run in a historical building, could be a bit neater, a bit warmer, some background music or hide the back room/kitchenette area for an improved ambiance but very good. Very kind to customers from all walks of life.

I keep going back to this wonderful little corner Cafe!! The food and beverages are great. There is every imaginable flavour of syrup available to add to your coffee or tea. The shop can get a little crowded but that is a good thing. And those there are typically good natured and share the tables.
