Our Mission is to protect animals that are unable to speak for themselves, by providing compassionate care and placement for homeless pets.
Our dedicated team of volunteers, along with a full-time manager and half a dozen staff that share roughly one full-time position, find homes for about 500 pets annually.
We're committed to providing the best possible care for the most pets we are able. We support community cat ventures on the Long Beach Peninsula and extend humane education to local and visiting kids Coaching is available to pet parents in need and also hae a pet food bank.
We are always looking for more volunteers to work in the shelter, or on outside projects such as fundraising, facility, landscaping, planning, and more. Want to learn more about volunteering? [email protected]
Our Vision is to foster positive relationships between animals and people, and to help end pet overpopulation through community outreach, involving the promotion of effective spay/neuter programs, and humane education.
