My husband and I tried Sonny's for the first time during a small birthday getaway to Sturgeon Bay. The parking lot was jammed packed but we were seated immediately. We ordered a personal pizza and lobster ravioli, which I highly recommend. The salad bar was included and was a nice starter, too. Best of all, the service was impeccable. Our server, Dana, had refills on our table before we even had to ask. She was extremely friendly, bubbly and willing to chat. Just overall very down-to-earth and left a good impression on us for our first visit. The atmosphere was relaxed and there was a great music selection playing overhead. All in all a great evening out. Will return! Thanks, Dana, for an awesome birthday dinner!
Great location along the water and a nice outdoor seating area. Food was great, large portions fairly priced. Sausage sandwich and calzone were delicious, with lots of other options available. Enjoyed some Bridge Up Brewing after having it at the Cherry Hut.
We had such a fun time here. Expected the half hour wait on arrival, but we were able to step downstairs to the Bridge Up Brewing Company for a fun atmosphere, and great drinks. The food at Sonny's was excellent! Will absolutely make a return trip.
We went for dinner .The location is great .Right near the bridge .They do have outdoor seating. There is a tiki bar below the restaurant which has a nice fire place The cheese curds were great. The garlic bread was average. Sonny pesto tomato pizza was good
Very good pizza and Italian meals. A lot of different pizza options available. Had a lot of seating both indoor and outdoor. We had to sit inside as the outdoor seating was full and had a long wait time. Would recommend though!
Wonderful Italian restaurant on the water. You can eat outside or in. Great good & service. Can be busy at times. Locally owned. The pizza was great! They even have a shuttle if your staying in the downtown area.
The pizza was good but not the absolute greatest I have ever had. Old World Pizza located in Minnesota is the best pizza I’ve ever had. When I went here the wait was crazy long. We had to wait for about 45 minutes. It was a long time. I still would still recommend coming here to see what you would think.
Always fabulous!! I called in the order it was ready a few minutes early too! Stuffed crust sonny's special it was cooked to perfection, the girls that waited on me were very nice also. I brought some home, my wife said oooo is that from Sonny's? She remembers it from like 5 years ago.... It's that good. Everything else is top-notch too. You can sit and the boats in the channel too!
We visited the restaurant over Labor day weekend and it was crowded. So decided to do a takeout and just did an impromptu picnic in the harbour right in front of the restaurant there are a couple of picnic tables. We bought bruschetta no photos because we polished them off right away , thin crust gourmet veggie pizza, stuffed gnocchi pesto and Tiramisu. Everything was absolutely delicious and the gnocchi especially was melt-in-the-mouth yumminess. This is a must-visit restaurant if you are ever in the area. I'm glad we did the take-out because we saw a bridal party coming in right after we ordered, LOL
We took our dogs and ate on their dog-friendly patio. The view from the patio is excellent, the service was good and the food was fantastic. We both had leftovers because the portions are huge. Can't wait to go back again!
