I ordered stir fry noodles with black pepper beef and asked for hot, unfortunately they put 3 full habenero hot pepper on top of a very spicy noodle which by the way is not mentioned that it's spicy. The was too spicy to handle and restaurant just basically said they can't do anything about it because I left a note for extra hot. I Get extra hot from everywhere but this one was too hot to eat.
Price is decent, food is decent, but unfortunately I think Gol's noodles has taken a lot of their hype and business. Personally I do like their noodles are good, but Gol's are better. Also their pig ear last time had a funny aftertaste that sorta weirded us out. :
It's good noodle, it's hand pulled. I would have liked more beef in my soup. The egg was very nice. Not the best noodle in town but still a strong buy.
Song's hand pulled noodles is one of the best Chinese noodle places in Waterloo. Although the portions are a bit smaller than Gol's, the price and taste makes up for it. The noodles are addictive and serves really fast. 10/10 would recommend.
Only “fast food” service hand-pulled Chinese ramen I’ve been to. Others were a sit down restaurant. This place is located in a mall. It’s not the best tasting compared to other places, but it is still worth it. It’s also cheaper than other ramen places so the price to quality is worth 5 stars. I love coming here as there’s also bubble tea down the hall. They only accept cash and debit.
Hand pulled noodles. Great taste, great price. Come eat here!Food: 5/5
Very salty and the flavors were just too overpowering, that balance of spice is overboard. The marinated egg is a lie, they used the salted egg and then marinated it which made it extremely salty, no amount of soy colour can mask the fact that it is a salted egg. The hand pulled noodles.and beef were nice tho which keeps this review at 3 stars.
Pros: Incredibly delicious food, great prices, open late and very kind staff Cons: Comparable Chinese/fusion places have more options read the menu before going.
Great traditional pulled noodles! I would say that it's authentic. The owners are lovely, they will chat with you while you wait for the food, but some of the others are not as personable.
Real nice dishes, big portions and relatively authentic. But the noodles are a hit or miss, sometimes it’s too saucy and salty, sometimes the meat doesn’t taste fresh at all, but it’s overall still great for a location near campus. The rice we got had a weird smell once but all other times it was nice. Can’t really complain, it’s one of the better places near plaza.
