Dumplings and buns are the best in Waterloo. Dumplings made fresh and super cheap! Atmosphere was super nostalgic... felt like I was back in my Asian household again . It's like that Ratatouille except imagine a Waterloo student instead. All bad reviews are from 3 years ago it's such a shame this place has such a low rating. Super underrated!

Their noodles are made fresh, and the soup itself is amazing! Portion size even one the “regular” is massive, so don’t get hungry eyes and order the large by accident! The staff is also super friendly. I can’t wait to come back.

Ordered dumplings and grilled skewers. The skewers portion was so small for the price, while the dumplings portion was good - would not recommend ordering any of the grilled skewers for this reason. The restaurant also just felt unprofessional: they gave us water bottles instead of drinking glasses, napkins in a plastic bag from the store, and served the skewers on a paper plate. Additionally, they made me pay for my meal in two separate payments, so I handed cash to two different people, and didn't receive a proper receipt with my order total.

The best I have ever had! The food was so fresh and the presentation was beautiful. The staff was also very friendly and attentive. Definitely a must-try if you're in the area.

The casseroles at Mr. Yin are amazing! They're so flavorful and hearty, perfect for a cold day. The beef casserole is my favorite, but you can't go wrong with any of them.

Dumpling Pork with Cabbage are amazing! The broth inside the dumpling is so flavorful and the dough is perfectly steamed. Highly recommend trying them!

The noodles are fresh and springy. The soup is also very well flavoured and aromatic. Definitely returning to try some of the other varieties!

The food at Mr. Yin Chinese Restaurant is simply divine! I had the pleasure of trying their signature dish and it was love at first bite. Highly recommend!

The Beef Sirloin with Tomatoes is a must-try at Mr. Yin. The seafood is so fresh and the broth is so flavorful. Perfect for a special occasion or date night.
