The cutest little cafe in Montreal! I had the iced chocolate, hummus dip and their soup of the day. All of which were delicious!! Definitely recommend the hummus dip if you enjoy home made hummus.. 10/10! Such a beautiful cafe and a perfect location to take some cute photos! They also have an outside seating area, perfect for warm summer days!
Came here to grab a drink and the drinks were pretty good but not super outstanding. The decor of the cafe is super super cute and themed. It feels like we entered a cozy fall orchard and even for the cups of our drinks are pineapple themed which is super cute. The food looks good too and based on the experience I had I’m willing to come back and try out their food.
The most beautiful café I have ever been in Montreal. You will love this place if you wanna try somewhere special, unique, or distinctive, as my photos tell. Their ceiling decoration full of oranges makes the entire place feel like a small farm. This place has various kinds of breads and coffees so you will love to relax here especially in the afternoon:
It’s quite cute, honestly not pigeon café level of cute, sorry to be this straight forward but is so you can make an informed decision, is more of a coffee shop, a very very cute coffee shop, perfect for autumn! Tho my matcha was around 7 dollars + tips that started from 18% considering there are not waitresses, you go to the counter for paying and for getting your order. My friend had a brunch and it was around 37 dollars, a very simple brunch, girl was not pleased, a lil bit pissed at me for the recommendation, but I really wanted to try this place, oh well. So I don’t really know if I’ll come back, maybe for an afternoon tea in autumn, lovely!
I really really wanted this place to be fabulous, and it’s got a lot going for it but there’s some issues. If it wasn’t so expensive, I would’ve given 4 stars but when I pay $100+ for breakfast for 2 people particularly for a place that is not a sit down/table service type restaurant I’ve got some pretty high expectations. The setting is quite lovely, with both indoor and outdoor seating. The orange grove theme is beautiful and unique. I also really liked the presentation of the food and the use of unique glassware. Our lattes were delicious and well prepared. The orange juice fresh squeezed was also great, but I was surprised to receive the drink in a glass full of ice. I don’t believe I have ever been served ice in a glass of juice before in any restaurant I’ve ever been in in the world. This unfortunately watered the juice down and of course they didn’t end up being very much juice in the glass since so much of it was ice. My husband had the omelette of the day which included his choice of bread. It was well prepared, and the croissant was very nice, but at $23 for some eggs, cheese and vegetables and a plain untoasted croissant with no jam or butter even offered, it’s just not a great value. I had the avocado feta toast, which I was told came with my choice of side, but it turns out the side I chose a salad was an additional seven dollars. The dish consisted of two pieces of plain untoasted or grilled baguette, spread with homemade guacamole, sprinkled with a few pieces of feta cheese and a drizzle of olive oil, and one sunny side up egg. While the guacamole was very tasty, it was also served ice cold, which congealed and cooled the sunny side up egg instantly and made it slimy and gross. The salad vegetables were fresh and delicious, and the dressing was very tasty. However, whoever had prepared the salad, had not drained the water from the greens, and had severely overdressed the salad, which you can see in the picture. We also shared the donut ground cheese sandwich. This was delicious, but how can you go wrong with a piece of melted cheddar stuffed inside of a glazed doughnut? Overall, if I had just come in for a bagel or donut and a coffee, we probably would’ve enjoyed the experience a lot more and not felt so let down, but there’s too many other great and more affordable cafés in Montreal to entice me to come back for another visit.
Let's talk about brunch? The place serves a great brunch, they have several options, just look at the menu to get an idea. The portions are big, it is possible for two people to share. I ate alone, but you can share if you want. The dishes are well prepared, in addition to being tasty, they look beautiful in the photos. The environment is great for taking beautiful pictures, but get there early. I went on Saturday and arrived at 8:30 am, it was perfect!!! until 9:40 there weren't many people, then it got crowded!!! Close to 11 am had to wait to get a table but it was raining. If it's not raining, you can use the patio, which is also beautiful.
I loved my experience at Solit cafe!! There vegetarian omelet was really well done and served with perfect French baguette. The orange juice so freshly squeezed to perfection. Highly recommend!!
Loved the ambiance, food was great , staff were great , quick service , it would be good to have more options on the menu . Definitely recommend this place and would love to visit again .
Fun concept! It’s not just a cafe but also a silk clothing store with many unique pieces. The design of the place is creative which I really appreciated. As for the menu I really enjoyed the drinks because they are more natural and do not have added sugar in them. If you go for the iced hot chocolate you will definitely be in for a treat- it was my favourite. For the food, there were no gf options. I ended up getting a salad which was okay but in my opinion over valued. BUT, my fiancé got the salmon bagel and really enjoyed it.
It’s a beautiful place for taking IG photo but not for eating tasty food. I had a croissant, cold brew and earl grey lemonade. The croissant was greasy and dry. The earl grey lemonade tasted like colored water which didn’t contain a scent of earl grey tea and any acidity. Food is bought from supermarket and assembled as a pricy meal. The indoor seating area is crowded.
