Exceptional experience, exceptional service, exceptional food and wine! The restaurant itself is cosy and comfortable and the staff are super attentive and friendly. The pairings were so good! Each sip was a surprise and the Quebec wines were our favourites. We very much enjoyed the chats with the staff about their choices for us. Very much recommended.

Cute little spot close to portage 5 min from Ottawa. Their food all comes in small shareable dishes. The food was pretty good but this is more of a wine bar with a huge selection of wines and drinks. That is for sure the highlight of coming here. Service was pretty good as well and overall would repeat coming back.

Incroyable! Magnifique! Two words that would describe this gastronomical experience. Do you like wine? Small plates? Interested in trying something different? If so, this is a must do! Friends invited me to their favourite place and it didn’t disappoint. From the flight of wine, to the bison tartare, the roasted quail, vegetable tempura, tuna and tomato tarts - it was all delicious. The service was impeccable, friendly and attentive! All the new ‘standard protocols’ are in place and yet, you still feel like you are transported to some magical culinary place. Enjoy your visit! Oops, I almost forgot to mention the corn beignets! Wow!

Very interesting and quaint place. We had dinner on the back terrace. The ambiance was very nice. We actually had a pre-paid dinner option from experience Outaouais which included a taste of a few wines, an entree and a main option which was shared with my wife. The taste for all options were very good and unique. It was a very nice and pleasurable experience. I am sure they have a very good chef to prepare the dishes. I will definitely to there again. It was fun playing tourist in my own city.

Our dining experience at Soif Bar a Vin was extraordinary! We dined outdoors - the space was beautiful, and our wine and food were exceptional! Our server was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and very helpful with regards to our wine and food selections and truly made the experience a memorable one. We cannot wait to be back!

Really solid experience at Soif! We tried a few dishes but our favourites were the Brussels sprouts, duck, and the hazelnut dessert. My husband enjoyed his wine pairing and my drink was good as well. The service is fairly quick and friendly and the atmosphere is great. We will come back. The prices are also reasonable for the plate size.

Cannot recommend this bar enough! They do flights of wine and have a sommelier who explains each wine in great detail they know their stuff! Amazing service and atmosphere

Interesting menu and large wine selection. Food menu is most fascinating wild mushroom ragout and bison tartare were excellent, even the tapenade and mousse-butter but bread was disappointing , wish they'd offer some french baguette! Wine flights: 2 options white or red flights of 3 wines of 2 oz for $22. Wish more flights were offered... or make your own with 2 oz up to $15-18. Desserts: chocolate caramel ants fleur de sel with hazelnuts was great $9. Trendy bar area, okay service.

Have been to Soif numerous times and without fail, the dining experience is always spectacular, from the service, knowledgeable servers to the creative menu items. Today my friend and I savoured their wine flights with wines from France and Spain and the main course of pork with mushrooms in a jus was flavourful and done to perfection. Highly recommend.
