I went to the store and found a flower to purchase the price was listed at $14.99, but when i scanned it at the counter it showed up at 24.99. Immediately i called the staff person standing there to show her but instead of giving me it at the price it was listed, she kinda ignored the issue. It is not very pleasure that the store does not follow the consumer rights. I will go back today, and ask for a manager to assist. As the staff person said there was no manager at the store yesterday at 10 PM when the closing time is at 11 PM.
I find this grocery store to have a rather good selection. I enjoyed the burgers I bought here. Furthermore the wine selection here I find is rather good.
I had the pleasure of meeting Laura at Sobeys today while she was offering wine tastings. She took the time to ask about my preferences and suggested a few options for me to try. After a lovely conversation, she helped me choose a mild white wine that I absolutely love. Thanks to her recommendation, my fridge is set for a happy Friday! Thank you, Laura, for your excellent suggestion and the wonderful customer service—you truly made my shopping experience special.
I’ve never felt so helpless in a store as I did during my first visit to Sobeys. I came in as an Uber Eats shopper and simply asked for a bit of help locating a few items. Instead of offering assistance, a staff member named Patii responded with arrogance and complete disregard. She coldly told me it was my job to figure it out on my own and refused to help in any way. Her attitude was dismissive, condescending, and borderline racist.nnHer excuse was that almost “44 delivery drivers ask her for help every day,” and she’s tired of it. She told me bluntly that it’s not her job to assist and that I should find the items myself. She acted proud and angry — like helping people is beneath her.nnI was made to feel like a burden for simply asking for guidance in an unfamiliar store. Her frown and negativity from start to finish made the entire experience stressful and disheartening. No customer or delivery driver deserves to be treated this way. I left feeling completely disrespected and unwelcome.nnIf this is how Sobeys treats shoppers or delivery drivers trying to support their business, I’ll definitely think twice before returning. Very disappointed.
Used to go daily for lunch at the salad bar, they had someone who clearly took pride in keeping it fresh and it was regularly busy. Seems like the owner or corporate has decided to remove the salad bar. So my choices for lunch are reduced to junk. The pre made salads or typically stale or in available
