My daughter was crying after taking just one peanut, and instead of handling the situation politely, one of the staff members approached us in a very rude manner and said it was “not a free sample” and that she should not eat it.nnI immediately explained that she had only taken one peanut and that I would gladly pay for it, but the staff member responded with a sarcastic laugh that made me feel like I was being treated as if I were stealing.nnWhat makes this even more disappointing is that I shop at this store regularly — almost every two weeks — and spend around $700 here. Customer service and basic respect matter. If customers are not treated with respect, eventually they will stop coming back.nnVery disappointing experience, and unfortunately I will not be shopping here anymore.nThe stuff i bought from here
The store is clean and well organized, and it’s easy to find what you need. They have a good variety of products at affordable prices, which makes it a great place for grocery shopping. I also like that they have a section for Arabic and halal products, which is very helpful. The staff are polite and helpful. Overall, a convenient and budget-friendly supermarket
Even though this is the closest grocery store to us, we only use it if we're in a pinch. We'd rather drive across town to NoFrills.We've bought salad dressings before that had expired 3 months before we bought them. We blamed ourselves for that one, though they shouldn't have even been on the shelf.nnTonight we went in and the produce was disgusting. Every bag of onions I picked up had at least one moldy onion in it. There were a bunch of cucumbers that were sitting on top that had been broken or so moldy they broke. You can tell by the coloring just how long they've been there. And the crazy part is that there's always people working in produce.... Piling new stuff on top of the moldy stuff.nnWe tried to pick up some milks, only to find that they were leaking everywhere.nnThen at checkout, there was something slippery that I stepped in that almost made me fall. It seemed like a type of soap that someone dropped before purchasing. When I told the cashier she thanked me but then didn't do anything about it??? Maybe she did after, but considering I told her I almost fell because of it, you'd think there would be a bit more urgency.nnOn top of all of this, FreshCo's prices aren't even that good for what you get. We definitely get better deals at every other store in town. It's always crazy busy here, only ever seen a maximum of 3 check outs being open despite lines having a ton of people in them, and the store isn't kept very clean, which should be a priority for a place you buy food from.
Terrible checkout experience.nnOnly two cash registers were open with long lineups. After waiting over 10 minutes, another cashier Baljeet appeared and made it seem like a new lane was opening. She then walked away with a cart of returns, creating confusion about whether the lane was actually open.nnWhen she came back, instead of taking the next customers who had been waiting, she called over someone who had literally just walked up behind us and hadn’t even waited a minute. We were clearly next, but were completely ignored.nnWhen I spoke up and said we were next in line, Baljeet became hostile and confrontational, raising her voice instead of handling the situation professionally. I stopped engaging because I didn’t want my groceries refused or the situation to escalate further.nnThis is basic customer service: first come, first served. Skipping people who have been waiting and then getting aggressive when called out is unacceptable. FreshCo seriously needs better supervision and customer service standards at the checkout.
Absolutely unacceptable. Coming to shop on the weekend only to find most of the grocery shelves empty has become a frequent issue at this location. A store should be properly stocked for peak shopping times, but this continues to happen over and over again. Very disappointing experience.
